You jest about teeth but you weren't to know. I've just come back from my Granddad's funeral. He put his teeth in back to front and bit his head off.
On a lighter and more topical note..I actually have just come back from somewhere; the very lovely Gun Shop filled with lovely guns and staff; Mcavoy's. Eeeh, I don't half like going there. This time I came out with a gun that's had my name written all over it (well, if I changed my name to Thompson that is) the M1A1. I get Snickers in the deal and everything! I've not fired it yet (the gun, not the Snickers...I've eaten them) because I'm getting it and the 'display' ready for a possible TV appearance but when that's all done and dusted and I finally learn to post pictures, I'll put some on. I might end up having to go to McAvoys myself for the S&W models 29 & 629 when they finally get released I can't seem to find any RFD that's nearer to me that are getting any stock of them ! (If anybody knows of somewhere nearer to Lincolnshire then please give me a shout and save me from an overpriced 5 hour round trip !) G&T's in Skeggy have ordered all the models according to Ginny. Not sure when they will get them in though.

That's a damn sight closer to home than McAvoys, plus I can make a day trip to Skeg-Vegas with the family and collect them from there at the same time, good news, cheers for that Andy

I watched a chap doing a review on an M1A1 electric airsoft model last night. Very interesting! Interesting in the fact that he said replacement wooden grips are available for this model. The electric version (from what I could make out) looked exactly the same as mine. I'm guessing I'm stating something that most people on here know about but...where could I find said grips IF I had the money to spend on guns ever again. Also he said a battery can last up to 5 hours before needing a re-charge. That pricked my ears up as well. I wonder if anyone has ever tried converting an airsoft M1 into a BB version...........

It’s a grey area legally as your turning a imitation firearm in to a real firearm

It’s a grey area legally as your turning a imitation firearm in to a real firearm I know, I've often thought about that myself.....especially as there's more hoops to jump through for a RIF than there is for a replica firearm. Then there's the wording Replica Imitation Firearm, it's a firearm as well, as it's not Replica imitation of a Firearm. Like you said, a huge grey area legally speaking. I personally think (although I'm no legal eagle) that it refers specifically to converting a blank firing RIF to a full bore firearm, but I wouldn't want to chance my liberty on that though, lol.

We still have a milkman and door step deliveries. I left the country in 1970 and all was well with our money. Came back in to Heathrow, Feb’71 and shit couldn’t spend my change. I remember having a milkman, he used to do Dandelion & Burdock and Limeade as well I can also remember all the above plus the Aladdin Pink Paraffin man and even further back when I was a Kid the Walls Ice Cream man coming round the streets on a Bike!! and the wake up man who had a long stick and would wake you up for work this was the early 50s mind you also that dirty yellow stuff called Smog where you could not see 12" in front of you they call this Covid a big Killer that is nothing compared to what the smog killed. This country is so soft now if you get a spot on your nose the country would close down. It is alright Dippy Boris saying he is cancelling Face Masks etc and that is it but might change his mind when winter comes round what is the point of that!!! you can not keep fuck*** everybody around in the old days you just get on with it and that was it. Just to finish who rembers Bassets Sweet cigarette which even came with cigarette cards and the end of the sweet cigarette had a red end like it was alight and the other one was called Gold Sweet Tobacco which was shredded coconut strands dyed brown to look like lose tobacco. God They Would go Absolutely Potty today I mean you can not play Conkers unless you wear a full Suit of Armour!!

Gold Sweet Tobacco which was shredded coconut strands dyed brown to look like lose tobacco. I absolutely loved that stuff, it even came wrapped like a ½oz of Old Holburn and smelt just as good, lol. I remember sweet cigarettes but I was never that keen on them, but do you remember chocolate fags ? They even had paper on them and came in the American style crush cigarette packs, I did love those little buggers, I had a '30 a day' habit with them as a kid, lol.

Not a clue what's happening to this thread but.....talk about going 'off topic' which, as some of you know, I love to do. Are any of you aware I live in a '1940's/1950's' Timewarp? I'm guessing you don't which might not be a bad thing to be honest. WB; Do you think I should introduce the lovely folk to what I introduced you to a while ago re; YouTube? Or....are they not ready for that yet? Either way; I appreciate the comments and banter and thanks again for the Avatar HH.
However; should I be so bold as to go back 'on topic'; I went to the Bass Players house today (Steve. Not on here.....yet!) and took my M1A1 (remember that? ) along for some Plinkage. He has bought a second hand Walther PPK. No idea why I'm mentioning this but......by 'eck.....that M1A1's good!!!!!!! Is that back on topic enough?

I'll help to bring it back Rockabillybilly Got some accessories for my M1A1 today, a cover and a spare magazine (cover from SOF, magazine from Surplus Store) The Umarex M1A1 fits the cover perfectly, and this is another great product from SOF that looks and feels very authentic
