Hi
Have got the .177 Umarex S&W M29 6.5” magnum, does anyone know where I can get alternative grips, ideally wooden ones, tried a few on instagram and they said they didn’t do custom grips for that model.
Thanks

Join the club of M29 owners who would like to get their hands on some wood...

Yeah, we're all in the same club at the moment buddy. Once the weather picks up a bit and I can get back out to the shed I'll have a go at finishing off the set of blanks that I made at the end of summer but what with one thing or another, I haven't managed to get round to getting them done.
If someone did start making these they'll soon run out of stock judging by the amount of interest there's been in having replacement wooden grips for the 29s.

Ok, it’s seems bizarre, with their production costs, they could have added £50 to purchase price and added wood stocks, people still would have bought them at that price. Is there any stop gap hacks, I can do in the meantime? thanks

I have embedded some surplus/unsuitable lead pellets within the plasticine on my M29, I also fitted a full length rifled barrel and left quite a lot of 'meat' on it to add weight. Unfortunately I have overdone it and the pistol is now heavier than the real steel one! 🤦

I am probably one of the only ones that actually likes my m29 grips. I think they are the best faux wood grips yet.

I like mine as well but I filled in the internal space and fitted a proper screw.
