I bet you forgot what real wood feels like. 😉 8.375” makes up for that 😂 Compensates for... 😁

Cap.......Adding that screw makes a great addition. I have both the 3" and 8" version, with the "creek" factor in the plastic grips being very noticeable. I know manufacturing OEM wood grips would cut profits, but by just making thicker plastic grips, many issues on most of these replicas can be resolved. Many real deal pistols sport plastic grips, but unlike these cheap, flimsy grips that come on alot of these replicas, they are either thicker, or made of a better grade material, or both. Like many have said, I'd also be willing to pay a bit more for better grips. I shouldn't have to buy aftermarket grip and "Dremel" to size, which I've done. Rant over, Johnny Walker Blue on the rocks to follow...... lol.

I agree Mr Tuco I would also have paid extra to have wood grips on ssome of my guns ..... i currently have an Umarex S40 Revolver up for swaps purely because i dont like the grips .... the gun is really nice ... such a pity. i have also changed the grips on some of my collection for wood ones and had to dremel out to fit. In my opinion they look so much better than the plastic ones they came with.

They put all the effort into the metalwork, then skimp on the bit that the user actually holds...
Product handshake Emotional ergonomics Sounds like a VW Golf door closing Interior lighting that dims to off
None of this stuff makes a product work any better or more efficiently, but it persuades the customer to feel like the manufacturer has thought about them (in a way that makes them want to part with their cash).

Most excellent job sir.

Modski......Just leave em plastic, but make them thicker. They won't feel (as) cheap, cuts down on creeks and that gosh foresaken flimsy-ness. We're the ones that buy these guns ! Are you listening ASG & Umarex...etc...etc No one ever listens....ugh.........lol.

Had a picture sent of the Umarex M29 pistol with a real steel grip on the left. It is obviously too short to be adapted to replace the plastic items.

For €89 it is a bit disappointing that the M29 grips have no chequered panels or medallions. 😕

I like the M209 grips, but to be honest, if it came with proper walnut grips or you could buy really nice walnut grips, I would get some. I do like walnut grips. Not especially on my 1911's (I have retired all my wood grips to my spares box) where I prefer the plastic grippy grips. Don't know why, I just do. But my DW Stubby that I keep in my ankle holster is much much better with Walnut.

I like mine as well but I filled in the internal space and fitted a proper screw. I know this is a really old thread CaptDAR but can you recall what size/type of screw you fitted here? I think this minor modification completely tranforms the grips.
