In its new home... Previously occupied by my PPK/s that I sold last year; I was beginning to think about parting with this very lovely case, but now I have an excellent reason to keep it.

It's great fun to shoot, and surprisingly accurate for such a tiddler, unless you use ASG Blasters... These are all shot at 6 yards with a 6 o'clock hold. The black is 60mm diameter. Smart shot 1 imghostSmart shot 2 post picsSteel bb's Blasters It is quite loud and has a nice kick to the blowback. The only niggle is the last bb always jams, but if I pull the slide back a bit, it will then fire. Does it on all three types of ammo. The other quirk is that sometimes the shot is noticeably quiter, and I am expecting the low POI, but it is always fine. Investigations required! I am even more amazed by the engineering now I have seen it first hand; how the hell did they get all that in, still with a 12g bulb, and all the functionality? For the grin factor, I would recommend this to anyone, plus the novelty of the such a tiny pistol. The question now is, do I get a second magazine...?

Does your one field strip ? I've heard that there's two versions, one that did FS and one that didn't. Just curious...

Yes, it did yesterday, but not after I got back from the range this morning! Eventually knocked out a pin at the back of the frame and discovered that the washer behind the return spring had got snarled up and bent, so would not let the slide off. It was probably my fault for not noticing it when I put it together. I decided the washer was a bit thin so sorted out a thicker alternative, also replaced the thick cushioning 'O' ring with a thinner one to give it a bit more rear travel when removing the slide. Also resolved the last bb jamming issue; the follower seems to be about a mm too short, so the last bb it just rattling around at the top of the magazine. No significant wear, nothing fouling the guides, just a bit of a mystery. For now I have glued a bit of plastic to the end of the follower and will try it tomorrow once it is all set. Still more than delighted with it!

The follower seems like a defective part as I've not heard anyone else mention that before in reviews, but as you stated, easily remedied with adding a bit of plastic. Now that we won't be getting the Goblin Atom-8 I think that this little gun has gone to the top of my ' sock gun' list, lol.

Glad you're enjoying it Mark, I was really pleasantly surprised when I fired mine for the first time - surprisingly string blowback and great snap to it!
I love your mini case - are these freely available or is it for something else and has been repurposed?

I tweaked the innards to suit the PPK, but I am contemplating changing them again to accommodate an extra magazine.

The magazine problem was not resolved by the bit of plastic, it did work - once, then got flicked off by the breech. This is what the top of the mag is like, the bb is where it would be ready to be shot, but there is a gap between it and the follower. There doesn't appear to be anything missing from the top of the follower, or anything stopping it short that isn't part of the design. James, does your mag look anything like this where the last bb is rattling around?

I only have Blasters to hand at the moment but can confirm if on last BB it rattles like mad. Mine actually flew out during rattling it. I don't have your issue though mate mine locks back on last shot without issue

Modski66I'm going to ask the obvious, so excuse me if you've already tried these things but I've got to ask... Is the mag' follower stopping short ? If it is it could need a 'shave' being taken off the follower's stop to allow it to move further up the mag' tube. Has the spring been over compressed ? As it's 2nd hand it may well have been stored loaded (or may have been over filled) and that would've overly compressed the spring enough that it's failing to go to it's full extent, the spring might need 'stretching' to regain it's intended length and positive pressure (as that is normally the force behind activating the slide lock on an empty mag'). It's one of those things that without it being in your hand it's very hard to ascertain (with any degree of certainty) what the actual issue is, but I've generally found that its either been the follower needing some remedial work or the spring has been weakened to some degree or other. Being unfamiliar with the magazine for the P365 all I can offer is generalised answers but if the mag' follower is sitting tight against the mag stop on empty then I'd suggest looking at making an adjustment to the mag follower's stop buddy to allow it more vertical movement to 'pin' that last BB in it's proper position otherwise it won't be able to properly engage the gun's slide lock mechanism on that last shot. It could always be a combination of both too, mag follower needs to move a mm further vertically and the spring needs more 'oomph' to push against the slide lock activation bar. But getting another mag will help, as then you'll have something to compare it against and it's as good an excuse as any to get one, as it's not optional, you actually NEED one, lol.
