Surprise! No, it has not be disassembled this time. This is not my gun. This belongs to a club friend. I managed to snag one from NM Product while I was there. They (always) have some ex-demo gun in stock on their old website. Always listed as "sold as seen", "ex-Demo", and "Spare or Repair". I thought I might want to take a punt on one and see if I can fix it. He had 3 in stock. BB and pellet in Battle Finish, and a pellet in black. Pellet version were £110 w/o shells, and BB was £100 w/o shells. He was offering £10 for 6 shells. I thought that would be a bit of a risk... but he already had some CO2 inside to prove there is no like. And it fires just fine. They felt very weighty. Really feels nice. Not sure how HeadHunter will take this, but I think it felt better than the DW 715. There, I said it. Sorry Shaun! Still, I have little interest in them. My club friend does though, and have been looking for one for a while. Bought it on his behalf. He said I can have a go first! Apart from that usual air pistol white lettering, it is a very nice gun. I haven't handled a real Webley before, but I am going to guess this is a very close replica. Have I said how lovely it feels in the hand yet? And this is a main draw for the Webley. Like the toggle lock on the P08, this open cylinder / shell eject is a reason why I might consider one. Here you go. I've done it for you: photos.app.goo.gl/TZGpmNY5SG4GabMY6It just looks amazing. Recessed barrel which I personally am not that bothered about. Plastic grip. I can't see how one can make a wooden one without a extra CO2 clip to secure the grip. No hex key, as the CO2 is wound in by the loop at the base of the grip. You've seen all that in other reviews already... Trigger. Lovely. Better than DW despite using the same shell / grommet system. No drag. Feels like a real revolver. I am seriously impressed. Not sure if it is because the seal on this is a bit old / dry being a 3 yo ex-demo. No apparent leak during shooting though. Double action is still heavy at 9.25lb, but if you learn your trigger and do a "half pull", you can rotate the cylinder first (which takes the most force), leaving you with 6lb to break. In single action, it is a medium pull length, smooth 3.5lb. Similar to the SW 586/686, but those are heavier at 4lb. I am impressed. Accuracy. This is where things doesn't go as well, in my hands anyway. This is 5m 12 shots weaver. Top is with R10, bottom with Excite Econ II. I was hoping for a tighter group, but I think it is me rather than the gun. Certainly pulled one or two shots, so just look on the main grouping, which are still about 1/2 to 3/4". I think it has something to do with the sights. I couldn't group it will from 8m, getting about 2" group. From 10m rested it was worse, but that's partly because I couldn't get my eyes to focus on the front sight, keep getting drawn to the rear sights. It was fine from 5m. I think it is me, not the gun. In brighter condition (I was shooting indoor) it might work better. I have thought about whether I should make another trip up to Sheffield and pick up the Black pellet version. I think probably not, but that's mostly because the Webley doesn't do anything for me. In any case the battle finish version looks much better. I'll leave you with this clip from "A Better Tomorrow". Unlike you guys, my interest in guns / shooting came from Hong Kong movies mostly by John Woo, and not Western / Hollywood / World War movies. This scene is probably the equivalent of the "Make my day" scene from Sudden Impact. No sign of a Webley MkVI here. Plenty of what looks like a Beretta 92F though. Kind of explains why I have little interest in this or the SAA. 🤷♂️

The Webley is a lovely revolver, no doubt about that Adrian ! It has the feel and weight of the real thing plus it is one of the better replicas out there. You can see why a lot of people are waiting eagerly for the .22 version and the shorter barrelled versions to be released by Webley sometime this year.
What's not to love about a big ol' chunky British revolver ? The accuracy and power are both very good too and when combined with the stunning replica realism makes this gun a sure fire winner in my book, every collector should have one of these.
I must admit to being surprised by your description of the gun in d/a though as this gun is NOTORIOUSLY good in double action ! As I'm sure other members will agree with me, it's light and crisp in single action with a fairly light (for a d/a) and controllable d/a trigger.
The most impressive thing I've ever noticed about the Webley mkVI is the solid cylinder lock-up, I wish all my revolvers locked as 'rock solid' as my Webley does.
A great revolver, a great replica and even more, it's a great bit of handgun history.

This is the pistol I was going to buy before the Schofield tuned my head, they were supposed to have seen made from the original blueprints and are almost true to form. I suppose there's still time I do like the John Woo movies they tend to be bloody, if a bit cheesy with the acting. I'll need to see if this is available on my favourite online library system

Don't get me wrong. It's great in both SA and DA. On par with the SW if you ask me. It doesn't have the "jerk" that I found with DW Gen 1 and 715. Far from it. It is smooth like the SW, except the pull length is correct with 60 degrees turn rather than 36 degree in the 586 (10 round mag). DA is heavy as expected. SW is lighter but again that due to the amount of turning it needs to do, an unfair advantage to the SW if you ask me. (but in a match, any "legal" advantage is always good).
A bargain for someone at £120 (£110 for BB) with 6 shells if you are passing by Sheffield. £10 less without shells.

That's why I bought it (on behalf of my club friend). I bought my DW 715 from the same shop. Also ex-display. Works fine.

Great review there Adrian. Received mine this week (birthday present) and also a book to go with it. Really interesting read and some good pic’s of holster/carry arrangements as well. A point to note is the author has also written books in the same format covering the following; The Thompson Sub machine Gun The Lee Enfield Rifle The Colt 1911 I do fancy getting a Pritchard-Greener bayonet for it....not sure I want to pay in region of £2500 for one though D09CE9A6-4117-460F-86FE-A4FADF5139DEF307AB7F-D80B-45E6-958D-B55FEC60EE9E

A great review. Those photos! I loved the first one especially. Why am I thinking of Indiana Jones throwing his gun into his suitcase in Raiders of the Lost Ark? I’ll have a proper read of this post later. This website makes me late for everything!
