Mark , did you fit a new valve seat/ seal ?? Pete. Only needed a new o-ring in the front end of the valve, the other seals were fine. Whatever the problem is, it is still holding gas very well.

I wondered if you had fitted a new poly urethane , flat valve seat, because I made one once for another gun, and I made it a little too thick. The valve would not open sufficiently to release any gas. Might be worth a look. Also, if your new O ring on the front of the tube stem is too tight a fit, the hammer may not enough force to open it. I have had that before too. Pete,

The frustrating thing is that it had been working perfectly, didn't need to replace the 'flat' seal and the front seal was fine. I had put a few magazines through it and was confident to return it to Kim, the valve just seems to have locked up, or something else is jammed in the mechanism. The trigger and hammer both seem to be doing their thing okay, just no gas getting out... I have left it alone for a few days so it can think about how naughty it has been.

Found the fault, or rather FAULTS! Wierd one first, the piercing pin had somehow cut a bit of the plating from the tip of the co2 capsule and stopped any gas getting into the valve. The second fault was the new o-ring I fitted was not up to the job, and it got shredded. I had fitted a Viton one, but compared to the original one, it was way too soft. I would have preferred a urethane seal, but couldn't get them in the right size. Going to go on a deeper dive to see if I can do better...

That's great ! At least you know where the fault lies now and can set about rectifying it.
