Not to be pedantic but very few of our replicas are airguns anyway. Their ammunition is propelled by CO2 and not air as in a springer or pcp

I haven't got any AS guns myself, not because I have a dislike for them or anything, just because I haven't found any that I really want as I've still got quite a long list of wants, needs & desires on my 4.5mm CO 2 handgun list. Although saying that the thought of a DE with blowback, full size drop free mag is very, very, very appealing. In fact I worked out the other day that 6mm steel bb weighs roughly 12 grains (going by 5.3grn for a 4.5mm bb) in preparation for getting one, I wonder how well it would do firing a 12 grn bb ? Just did the math..... Going by my Umarex .177 DE, it will fire a 12grn bb at about 282fps (or 192mph), which is enough to do quite a bit of damage. As to the range it would have ? Well, I wouldn't like to estimate that....A 6mm steel bb travelling at 192mph has got quite a bit of inertia behind it, I wouldn't want to be standing in front of it that's for sure ! Food for thought there.....

Real firearms. Not RIF's (Imitation or pretend guns) Otherwise Shaun should have called this forum .......... Replica airguns and replica pretend guns.
A bite...........I got a bite........

I’ve got plenty of 8mm and 9.5mm Steel ammo so I’ll look at getting a few 6mm.

AS has one very big advantage over 4.5mm/.177 CO2 replicas in that you can legally go full auto ! That's got to be a very big positive for owning an SMG or an Assault rifle like a M4 or an AK47.....Now that's a thought ! I've always fancied a fully automatic SMG like an MP5, Sten, G36c, etc. ooooh ! Thinking of all the fun I could have ! AS is becoming more and more appealing

Are there any 6mm steel BBs produced by proper ammo companies? My searches are just coming up with what look like generic bags of BBs and I'd rather get them from a reputable name?
