I've been offered one of these by the same person I got my 6" Dan Wesson from. Based on what I've seen them go for, I think it seems a reasonable price without being an outright bargain (£110). What are people's opinion in general, it does look fun (and powerful) but is it worth getting? What are its pros and cons? I think there's a fair chance I'd find it too bulky, but at that price I think I might regret not giving it a whirl and would end up getting the next one that came along anyway.

It's a good price as they are quite sought-after. You are unlikely to lose much money when you decide to move it on. I have small hands (size 6.5) and I can't hold to properly, even with 2 hands. I'm likely to be one of those people who will get "stung/hit" by the gun if I shoot one in real life. Fake blowback as slide doesnt move like the real thing. Sights are only adjustable by windage. I have one but I'm keeping only because I'm a hoarder... co2-handguns.freeforums.net/thread/1200/umarex-desert-eagle-review

I had one, and found it a bit underwhelming. It is large in the hand`s , not bad blowback, but accuracy was lacking in mine. I have shot others and they were fine, so might have got a duff one. Pete

There's a lot of good points but (as always) there's a fair few bad points too unfortunately. Mine was bloody accurate, had plenty of power, pellet firing, gave about 56 full power shots before CO2 drop off occurred and had quite a 'bang' to it, on the downside.....it's mostly plastic, doesn't field strip, has no full sized drop free mag, has moulded in grip panels (so you can't swap 'em out for nicer ones) and is blooming loud ! But it's a fun gun that reminded me of the same emotions that I had for the real steel version that my step father owned, 'it's big, it's loud but it's a whole heap of fun !'. But twodoctors is right, for that price you won't lose anything if you decided to move it on as they are quite a sought after collectable, not everyones got one but there's a few people that wouldn't mind one. Me ? I'd love a full metal, drop free mag, BB version as the 'handshake' on this version can be a bit underwhelming because of it's (mostly) plastic construction.

Now, my 6mm is full metal, drop free metal mag, blow back and lockback 😊

Thanks guys, think 'll give it a whirl, since it doesn't seem there's much to lose if I'm not enamoured with it. I'll keep you posted.
