Being an absolute 'Gun Nut' means that I even have to have matching belt buckles for my guns too.... The classic Colt buckle... This commerative buckle is actually made out of the recycled brass shell casing from WWI in 1919. And then there's the more modern Colt buckle, for the more modern guns..... A gorgeous buckle, one of my favourites.... Then there's the S&W buckle... A very solid buckle, in fact this is my 'day to day' go to buckle for my leather belts.... And finally, we get to my Dan Wesson buckles. Firstly the older pre '67 styled one.... A classic belt buckle.... and now the modern version.... My favourite buckle, by far is this one.... The Dan Wesson ones were only ever available if you bought one of their 'pistol packs' comprising of a frame and a three barrel set (similar to the Umarex S&W 586/686 full sets) plus they would chuck in the highly sort after embroidered patch too, so getting hold of them can be tough but not impossible. The Colts and S&W buckles are easier to find, in fact that modern Colt buckle can be ordered direct from Colt for about $11 plus shipping (which is where I got mine) and the rest can be found if you trawl ebay and other secondhand selling sites. Yep, I'm a Gun Bug, I know that already, you're not telling me anything I didn't already know, lol.

I would be too embarrassed to wear them...
...but they do look nice as a collector's item. Where do you get them from?

I love my hobby, having clothing accessories that reflect my interests makes me an individual within the normal grey faceless monotony of a modern British society. I'm not embarassed to wear them, in fact if you asked me I'd probably tell you that I'm proud to wear them buddy. Some of us don't care what other people think, we do what we want without seeking the approval of others, I think that's what's called 'individualism'....something that seems to be frowned upon in a society of 'sheeple'.

Apologies. I should have clarified that I'm not into these types of buckles. Even if it says Gucci, or Prada, or whatever, I'm not personally into these massive buckles. As I said they do look nice, but not my thing. But they do look nice as a collectors' piece. Where did you find them?

The new Colt one was from Colt, direct from their website for $11.24 plus shipping. shop.colt.com/belt-buckleAnd the rest came from ebay (mostly), they seem to come up when I do searches for Colt, S&W, Dan Wesson etc.. There's a buckle gun that Umarex made a few years ago called the 'Little Joe', it's just a miniature blank firing gun made by Rohm. One of those weird things that came up in a search I did years ago, we never saw them here, well I didn't anyway, lol. you could still get them a while back, but everywhere seems to be out of stock now. www.fusil-calais.com/en/515-pistolet-alarme-umarex-rohm-little-joe-boucle-de-ceinture-cal-6mm.htmlA lot of people forget that Umarex started as a blank gun manufacturer in 1972 (when they were called 'Mayer & Riem') when Germany increased their legislation with a permit that was needed for ownership of any deadly force weapons. Look there I go, waffling on about the history of a replica manufacturer, God knows how I got here from talking about belt buckles...

Nice collection of buckles. Your Colt percussion revolver buckle doesn't go well with the peacemakers Shaun. Maybe a swap is in order? @headhunter ? You need this one:

Well, as most of you guys know, I do love a nice gun buckle So I've managed to pick up another couple to add to my ever growing collection. One that I've been after for a good while is the S&W one, everytime I've seen one they've either been badly marked or worn and expensive, eventually managed to track this one down for a reasonable price. And then I was lucky enough to 'snap' this bad boy up ! Which was special edition collectors buckle from the 'Texas Rangers Hall of Fame' in Waco, Texas. I'd seen this previously on internet searches but was never expecting to snag one ! I do love having gun related belt buckles, not just for their exquisite beauty but also, more importantly for their practical ability to hold my jeans up, lol. It's also great to have such 'first world' dilemmas every morning deciding which buckle to wear that day, lol. It's a hard life being me, deciding whether to have a Dan Wesson day or making it a Colt day or even a S&W day ! I do struggle some days to get out of bed knowing that I have to make such an important decision before I've even put my trousers on, lol.

Lovely buckles there folks. All of which I've never seen before. I have a couple but I never wear them. Reason being since I was a teenager I've always worn my buckles to the side and it would be wasted on these and other buckles like them. It's a guitar players/double bass players habit so you don't scratch whatever it is your playing at the time. I only wish some people who borrowed my instruments did the same thing!
Great collections too.

Some lovely examples there Shaun. All this talk of buckles reminds me of one I used to own and have sadly misplaced as the years have passed. There is a bit of a back story to it coming into my possession. When I was 11 I was lucky enough to go on holiday to the west coast of America (quite unusual for a working class family in 1981) During our road trip we stayed at a town called Solvang on the way up to the pacific coast highway. We happened to call into a leather goods shop called First Street Leather and being a gun nut (yep...even at 11 years old) this buckle caught my eye. My Dad kindly bought it for me and had it attached to a custom fitted leather belt which I wore every day for the rest of the holiday. Although this photo isn't of the original buckle, it was definitely this model and I even remember the snazzy box it came in. Just as a footnote, back in 2016 my eldest daughter and I went back over there and retraced the original route I'd done with my parents 35 years earlier! I managed to find the same leather goods shop and got photo of us stood outside and guess what...I can't find that either!
