Had a go at knocking the pin out today but it's too tight and didn't want to go mad and risk damaging the finish. I'll learn to live with the slop!

I collected my M29 8 3/8" today, I am happy with it so far, it was very dry out of the box, cylinder, trigger and safety needed some oil, soon sorted, The grips really let it down, we all know about that though and it can be sorted too, Now this is probably a stupid question, but, I know its smooth bore and sold as a bb gun, but the brass coloured shells have the grommet at the back, my experience, limited as it is, that these are for pellets not bb`s, my SAA bb shells are brass coloured and have the rubber type front cone, ? Am I correct ? I have a shed full of SAA shells, silver coloured pellet variety, so I just used these so far, with excite hammer pellets, I have not tried it with bb`s. It feels and shoots well, looks amazing, but if you do happen to look at it, even at range, it will collect all your fingerprints, over and over !
Steve.

You need some Renaissance Wax Steve, will protect the finish from fingerprints. It's really great stuff

BBs are 4.4mm diameter, and pellets are 4.5mm +/-0.02mm diameter. So in theory BBs will fit into pellet shells and vice versa. Pellets might be a slightly tighter fit in BBs shells and vice versa also, in theory. Put it another way, just shut up and shoot! 🤣

Thanks for the advice, Shutting up right now ! Steve. I've never had any problems with pellets in the BB shells although I only use the cheaper pellets with my replicas as they are essentially plinkers. I've got a box full of brass BB shells and never had any issues with pellets.
