I should state that the barrel is from a S&W 629 6½" bbl, but I can't see it being much different to the 29 to be honest.

My friend on there already has one, I'll ask him!
He said......I would assume that is how they are doing it. It would be the same as the blued or nickel SAA only it's much blacker than the blued ones.

Right guys. I have definitive answer from Airgun Source in Canada. I asked them and they told me they had been inundated with the same questions. I showed them the so called electro plated photos and the ones that look steel grey/nickel. They got back to me today and said they are all the same steel grey colour. It is the lighting that makes them look darker in some photos. Here is one of their in stock display M29's that they took photos of just for me.

So the same as the ones we will get here and the same as my Schofield by the looks of it. I'm happy with that.

Thanks for getting this information Wild Bill, so it was just the lighting that effects the finish to make it looker darker or lighter. I did initially think that it had that same finish as the DW715-6" pellet version, which can look like a blued finish when viewed under certain light. Good to get a definitive answer though

If that is the case then, I might just treat myself to an AirSoft version and get Modski66 to make a rifled inner barrel for me, sod all this waiting around malarky.... Only kidding, I'll wait for the 'proper' one to reach the RFDs before parting with my cash, lol. What the hell would I do with the left over 6mm smoothbore barrel, apart from use it as a drinks straw that is, lol.

Such a shame you AW guys are being kept waiting. Any of us could go down the AIRSOFT route David but we don't want to. We like air pistols that shoot lead. I could quote a post of yours on the AGF where you once stated you would not even consider 4.5mm steel BB because you were a pellet man and now look at ya? Corrupted and hurt and consumed with plastic ball firers. Jesus H you'll be going down the paintball road next.

And the same AS is about £40 cheaper 😆 Because they shoot plastic balls.

And the same AS is about £40 cheaper 😆 Can’t understand why the airsoft versions are so much cheaper, they are exactly the same, apart from the barrel, and they are all smoothbore after all.
