Well the posty has just delivered the M2 screws, only the seller decided to send me brass ones instead of the zinc plated ones that I actually ordered ! So I've contacted them and they're sending out the correct ones straight out to me....
So I'm back to waiting for the screws to be delivered, I've got deja vu all over again, lol.

Finally got released from covid confinement today, so spent the afternoon catching up on all the things I have been thinking about whilst incarcerated. One of them was the hollow grips and void packing. This is the right hand grip that is as packed as I can get it with dark grey plasticine and lead pellets. The other little job was to replace the nasty Philips screw near to the rear sight with a slotted style, as the original. It isn't quite the right size, but the nearest I could get. Also the challenge was to make the stainless steel look more like the blued mild steel of the other two screws I have already replaced. After a bit of experimentation with a gas blow-gun and various liquids, I found that dabbling cold blue solution on the surface while is was glowing red gave an acceptable result, sealed in with some Renaissance wax. It's not quite as dark as I would like, but as it is such a small area, I can live with it. Would black be a better choice, I'm thinking of getting black or brown? I don't know why I ordered white😖..

Actually the grips on this one seem far better than on the last one, very solid with no 'creaking' either. Yeah mine seem OK too. So I guess it's pot luck with these. Which do you like the best out of the two M29's Shaun? Seen this at Pyramid Air this morning, but it's Airsoft Silver M29 5" with those Hogue grips you guys like! You just don't know what comes out next or what they put on what! www.pyramydair.com/product/smith-wesson-m29-5-co2-airsoft-revolver?m=5340

If they do this in 4" in black, I'll treat myself. I had a replica as a kid. I got it for either my 10th or 11th birthday. It came in kit form had replica shells and lead weights in the grips and barrel to match the weight of the real thing and the same 8lb (I think) trigger. It;'s not the type of gift kids get nowadays but it was my best pressie ever!

I'd get the 4" in the silver/nickel finish if they released it, seriously though if it was just in the AS calibre I'd still buy it and beg Modski66 to make me a inner barrel for it....Not too bothered about a 5" though, as I've already got the S&W629-5" but the 4" version would be the one to have, as far as I'm concerned it would be.

Should such a version appear, would you try and replicate the classic's wood grips rather than the Hogue style?
