Found this a while back now, the article explains a fix for the Legends Cowboy Lever Action not piercing 2x CO2 on loading. I had this issue with mine out of the box and the steps here fixed it. Might be handy for someone at some point www.pyramydair.com/airgun-experience/postscripts-part-3/

It’s not a problem I’ve had but I hadn’t thought of it, it’s a good point

I read this article earlier this week; the co2 chamber is identical to the Ruger 1022, and I have problems getting the second bulb pierced. There is quite a bit of oil around the green o-ring, but it really feels tight to the point I am convinced it is going to break. One American site suggested putting a dime between the bulbs, and for some obscure reason I found a dime on a shelf in my shed, popped it in and it works a treat. The dime is kept loose in the void at the end of the butt, if it rattles when I pick it up, I know there is no gas in the gun.

I must admit that I can't understand why Umarex stated that you shouldn't put a spacer between the bulbs in the actual article ?!?! Something about having a loose item in a pressurised container, well it won't be loose if it's wedged between two bloody bulbs ! I think that it's manufacturing tolerances between the different makes of CO2 bulbs, some are just shorter than others I suppose.

Probably because if it falls to the bottom instead of between the two bulb, one can damage the piercing pin or worse.
Not read the article yet, but sounds interesting. 👍
