ASG Schofield 1877 pellet. This pistol has a smooth bore barrel and uses rifled shells. The Webley MKVI shells are dimensionally with same but smooth which is good for my first pellet test.
Using H&N Field Trophy Green Non-lead 4.50 5.56 grn in the Webley shells as I did not want to chance damaging the rifled soft brass Schofield shells.
1. 429 2.28 2. 433 2.33 3. 433 2.33 4. 442 2.42 highest of string 5. 426 2.25 6. 425 2.24 7. 436 2.36 8. 411 2.10 9. 423 2.22 10. 427 2.26 11. 417 2.16 12. 402 2.01 lowest of string and perhaps damaged skirt 13. 416 2.15 14. 407 2.02 15. 417 2.16 16. 436 2.34 17. 413 2.12 18. 414 2.13
Average 423 FPS 2.22 ftlbs
Accuracy was fairly good and much better than with the Colts and their rifled barrels. So it would seem that these pellets are better suited to smooth barrels.
Second up was the RWS MK 4.50 7.0 using the Schofield shells.
1. 403 2.52 highest of string 2. 376 2.19 3. 371 2.13 4. 391 2.37 5. 380 2.24 6. 381 2.25 7. 383 2.28 8. 403 2.52 = highest of string 9. 378 2.22 10. 379 2.23 11. 371 2.13 lowest of string 12. 375 2.18
Average 383 FPS 2.28 ftlbs. Nice and consistent with excellent accuracy.
Third and last up was the JSB RS Diablo 4.52 7.33 and again using the Schofield shells.
1. 372 2.24 2. 373 2.25 3. 375 2.26 4. 354 2.03 lowest of string 5. 357 2.06 6. 377 2.30 7. 380 2.34 highest of string 8. 366 2.17 9. 358 2.07 10. 359 2.08 11. 359 2.08 12. 368 2.19
Average 367 FPS 2.18 ftlbs
These being the heaviest were the slowest, but the most consistent over a string with a 26 FPS variation. Accuracy was excellent so overall this pellet is the winner.
Total number of full power shots from one capsule is 84 at 12 degC ambient.

Great information there David, those non lead pellets are certainly faster but as you stated the heavier lead pellets were far more accurate with a more consistent fps shot-to-shot deviation.
I only use the non lead pellets in my smoothbore revolvers now as I'm worried about damaging the rifling too, luckily though the Remington 1875, 2 of my Colt SAAs and the Schofield (using the Webley shells) are smoothbore.
