I've been looking for a brushed metal version of the Walther Underlever for a few weeks to no avail so for. I'm thinking of broadening my search to include the other finishes, and have come across a potential standard black version with the 2x 12g power input.
My question is, with the exception of the shorter stock extension found on the 88g versions, are there any other positives or negatives to the 2x 12g setup? I was planning on getting the 88g version with a Walther adaptor for 2x 12g

I have also been told that they are not as powerful as the 88g versions. But can't be sure. I like the Walthers better than the shell ejectors.

Thanks Bill, I didn't know there were two lengths so I will double check as I would prefer full length

I was the owner of the carbine (2 x 12g) briefly a few months ago. It was supplied as fully tested but as soon as I put CO2 in it leaked out, soaking the seals in Pellgun oil solved the first problem but then as soon as the CO2 holder went into the gun it leaked the gas from somewhere inside. Anyway the seller agreed to refund me (which he did) and said he would try to fix it and let me know when it was sorted if I was still interested. Unfortunately he managed to crack the main casing when taking it apart and ended up selling it for parts. I'm glad I didn't try to fix it! Such a shame for a beautiful gun to end up that way. Turns out the one I was considering is a carbine, I would prefer the full length so the search continues

I bought a Umarex Legends Underlever Shell ejecting rifle a few months ago. My Western Gun loving/owning neighbour was here when it was delivered. My first impressions were slightly dissapointing. His were exactly the opposite. I thought it would benefit from being longer but of course, I don't know how long an original one is so it may be the correct length perhaps. However, when I fired it I was surprised just how powerful and accurate it was. But I did wonder how long it would take me to get fed up of picking the ejected shells up off the ground. Not long as it happened because after a few rounds went through it it decided it didn't want to eject them anymore thus saving me the job of picking them up but also rendering the rifle useless. I sent it back and got a re-fund. But, I've never heard of anyone else having this problem so don't let this put you off. I just happened to get a bad one out of around 35,000 of them.
I did then think about purchasing a non shell ejecting one (some would argue I did that with the first one! ) But, I bought a couple more pistols and have for the time being, run out of gun money. I love the look of the Walther but, being very picky, I'm not too keen on the black bit on the end of the stock. To be fair to both rifles though; I've never heard a bad revue of either (apart from my revue )
Good luck with your search and I'll look forward to seeing how you get on.

I have two Umarex Walther Winchesters. One nickel and one black. I bought the adapters for them and usually only load one full capsule for a session. My nickel one started to leak so I thought buy a seal kit and strip it. A little way in I realised I’d bit of a bit too much so boxed it up and it went to Rotherys for a service. Back in full use again and shooting lovely. I did you with the idea of the shell loading one but dismissed it as I’m not into bending down and searching for the ejected cases. Both are very accurate out to 25 yards which is more than enough and they love JSB RS.

I would if it I ever considered it for sale but it won’t be. A good friend of mine bought it and I shot it a few times at our club and admired it. He died of a brain tumour and his brother asked if I was interested in buying it. He was a great guy and his last few years were spent in stoic resignation. Even although he could shoot he still made it to our club just to be with friends who understood.
