There is a guide here on how to replace a plastic stock with the real wood stock

EDIT - my notes
I have recently swapped the plastic stock for the wood version and had the following notes to add about the process -
It is worth the effort, but it isn't a 2 minute job and try to avoid temper flares - I was close to throwing it across the room a few times.
If anyone does ever need this and is struggling, please drop me a PM I would be happy to assist

EDIT - my notes
I have recently swapped the plastic stock for the wood version and had the following notes to add about the process -
- Take your time - there is a lot of fiddling and fettling required in the process and one slip with the screwdriver and you are putting a big scratch in that shiny new stock. The process is a bit of a pig as the wood is not as precise a fit as the plastic
- Removing the action from the stock - the guide in the link states that the action is hard to remove from the plastic. I really struggled with mine and the force I was putting in did not feel right as when looking at the plastic stock vs the action there was nothing obvious that should have prevented it being removed. I'm glad my instincts kicked is as when I got my torch in there I could see that there was a small pin that had come loose from the action and was locking the action into the plastic sub structure. I was able to push this back into the action using a butter knife as it was only tool I could find to fit down the crack. Once it was pushed back in, it came straight out no effort required. One to watch out for
- Everything is tighter on the wood stock vs plastic, so getting the bayonet fixing section back over the top wooden part took some effort and a few attempts. This was also true of the retaining band where the strap buckle is found. It just needed some time and patience. The upside of this is that when everything is secured in place it is rock solid, no rattles or movement from the stock or action
It is worth the effort, but it isn't a 2 minute job and try to avoid temper flares - I was close to throwing it across the room a few times.
