To be honest, if this MPX is great fun, wait til you try a true semi auto as in the Crosman R1 or DPMS. Or a Thompson......

Looks like a great fun bit of kit and something I've been tempted by for some time; it would be great if you could update after a while, confirming how you get on with loading/cycling mags, trigger feel, consistency etc.? I know it's not a target rifle by any stretch, but I like to at least be able to get a reasonable group out of even my CO2 stuff. Happy to post updates next time I use it. I'd like to pop the iron sights back on and have some standard target practice. It should be quite accurate being a pellet and rifled barrel although its so much fun to use, especially with the red dot mounted I don't think it'll be spending much of its life with me trying to use it as a target rifle Having a folding/ retractable stock would be fantastic. I did wonder about the supplied stock myself with it bearing little resemblance to its real steel counterpart but in practical use it's study and comfortable and blends into the rest of the rifle quite well. I'll miss it when I get the PCP conversion as I think it adds to the overall realism of using the rifle. I'll probably use both CO2 and PCP. Nice to have options. i know it's not per the original, but it'd be nice if you could get a HPA upgrade that could fit inside a buffer tube and allow use of standard AR buttstocks; not sure how much it would affect the shot count and it wouldn't be able to fold, but boy it would look better!

Unfortunately my shooting club has a strict ban on BB guns of any kind and no amount of suggestions to mitigate the risks appear to make any difference I know i could shoot at home, but find it too much of a faff, with having a dog etc.

Various MPX stocks are available and possibly be used with the 12 gram CO2 converter hidden inside a fake buffer tube after some finagling. Perhaps somebody has already attempted this type of project. I'll have a look online and post a link if I find anything.

I had a DPMS but sold it on quickly as I did not like the ‘clunkiness’ of it. And they are seriously uncomfortable rifles.

I really don’t like any rifle that doesn’t have a traditional stock to be honest. I’ve never found modern military rifles comfortable to use and I was professionally taught on SA80 and AR15s.
