The Makarov for £35 found by twodoctors on Gunstar arrived today. Like new . Great for the price. Now I have to learn how to take it apart to check the seals, if that's what the problem is.

Interesting video, thanks for that. That's a nightmare for me nowadays, there was a time when I could dismantle things , mainly car engines, bikes,PC's and all sorts of things to fix. Now ,I'm clumsy and quickly forget where things go. I could no doubt take things apart, but whether they go back together is another matter. Still worth a try.

Cheers and welcome to the forum. I saw you first post regarding your Makarov. I have'nt done anything with mine, infact I dont do anything with my collection. I got another today...a PPK/S. I just like collecting. I dont have a garden and you just cannot go anywhere to fire these things. I want most of them in wall cabinets eventually.

Thats a real shame, I have amassed quite a collection since joining this forum, but half the fun for me is taking them out into the garden and taking out a few cans! I don't have a 'range' anywhere near the scale of Rockabillybilly but if you're anywhere near Alton Hampshire and fancy a plink drop me a note

Cheers gavincall, I could bring them all down in a suitcase to try I live near the coast in Northumberland and there is really nowhere to shoot. Having said that I do have permission to shoot at a farm a few miles away and have taken a rifle or two to test. But ,the weather has been really bad this year, plus I never seem to have the time. I retired in March of this year but still work, having customers for 30 years or so , they still want work done and the money comes in handy for buying airsoft and replica's

The farm I mentioned is not not really a farm now , it was. Knocked down and a fancy house built with an indoor pool and billiard room. They still have problems with vermin ...rabbits, grey squirels and rats. There customers of mine. I've only been there once with my rifles , putting tins cans in the field for plinking. Good fun though. Would have liked somewhere to shoot within walking distance though. But as you know, we cannot go around the fields and woods with airguns like we used to or like I used to in the early 70's.

I now cannot remember what the original add read regarding any problems with seals etc. Never taken an airsoft pistol apart, a blank firer yes but not one of these . I'm not sure where to start. I'm sure it will never work again once I start tampering with them. I think some of my 1911's have leaking seals too. I dont fire them so not really worried. It would be nice to know that I could dismantle them , change the seals, clean them and re-assemble them. One day!
