Hi CaptDAR the John Wayne Colt special does look very nice. I live the shooting range.π My club is a dedicated rifle and HFT club but a good few of us were centred on pistols. After constantly barracking our committee they decided to built us this as you see. Since this happened out pistol section has grown. We are not permitted to use any other projectile apart from lead pellet. Now, a few of us want to shoot speed plate with pistols that replicate real steel. Ie, airsoft 6mm replicas. We are now nearly at a point where a second dedicated poly range will be built for this.

It's great that a club will listen and cater for the growing needs. Most clubs where I live won't entertain co2 pistols and some won't even entertain airguns of any kind. Good on you and I will keep watching your videos.π

BB and replica's people can get sniffy. BB's is a safety thing in our club as ricochet is a real concern. I'm going to get some of those copper ones for testing at some point. We are a target shooting club at the end of the day but there is a group of us that like replicas too.

Hi tioaboa it's great that your club caters for co2 replica guns but where I live the club's just don't want to know. I applaud you for doing this.π

The copper coated lead bbβs flatten on impact when hitting a metal plate. I have found a few Umarex guns only work with steel bbβs though.

We have done extensive controlled testing on Smart Shot, Dust Devils and Blasters. Smart Shot still have the ability to bounce back with low powered weapons <2 ftlbs against different mediums except from a direct hit on fixed steel. Blasters regularly bounced back. Dust Devils were the only type of bb safer to use. But their accuracy is woeful at best.

Which might be a bit tricky for some of the BB firers to stay on target as one of the issues we have is people peppering the back wall with pellets
I'm mostly tolerated as I can hit what I'm shooting at lol.
