I recently purchased an Umarex MP5K from a fellow forum member , it came at a good price due to a seal leak. I stripped it down and found the leak was in the blowback unit so purchased a new complete piston kit and fitted it while it was in apart i decided to fatten her up a bit as she was a little on the light side so i added lead weights to the stock, handgrip and foregrip and its now the same weight as the real steel version (about 2.6 kg i think ) After putting it all back together i set about ageing it as best i could (looked too plasticky and new) and added a red dot / green dot ACOG style scope, i removed the tri lug off the false barrel end and threaded it 14mm as i felt it would look better with a fake supressor on it, i will post pics of it when ive finished making it ( the flash hider has been filled and threaded so it now screws onto the14mm thread ) looks like its gonna be fun lol

Really pleased to see what you’ve achieved with it 👏 It sat around for several years so it’s really nice to see its revival and the improvements you’ve made!

Cheers guys
I must admit im not normally a fan of modern style replicas but this has really grown on me ..... the weight and feel of it
when you pick it up are really good .... waiting for parts to build the mock supressor , that should just top it off nicely

REALLY like what you've done with your MP5!! ..it's right up my street. I'm planning some similar pimping when I finally get one. 2 Questions though..1, Where did you get you're red dot...and what type is it? 2, Love the fake suppressor but the only ones I've seen are mainly for airsoft... do these fit on the 4.5mm BB version and how did you go about creating a thread for it to screw onto? Apologies if any of these are obvious questions but as I've not got one in my possession yet, it's difficult to plan how I'll be approaching the mods. Thanks in advance Gunman

Since i had to strip the gun down to repair a Co2 leak i thought why not have a go at it . Firstly i repaired the leak .. Then i took the outer barrel and carefully cut off the tri lug part, filed it and sanded it to make it smooth then cut an m14 1.25p thread onto it by hand .... i held the plastic barrel in my hand and turned the die onto it by hand as putting it in a vice would have broken the plastic outer barrel i filled the flash hider with chemical metal then drilled and tapped it (again m14 1.25p thread) the scope i got off ebay ... its metal and came from china, it looks great and works really well for not too much money www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404388128046good luck
