If a modern tactical revolver were ever to be practical consideration, I reckon it would look something like this example. It’s a Umarex Tornado, which is my opinion a much underrated revolver at a very affordable price, especially when fitted with a budget range red dot sight. This package can be assembled for around £120 including the addition of an interchangeable pellet loading magazine from the Umarex Python. The open sights the gun comes with are pretty basic, so it’s just as well that it has a nice rail on top to fit the optic of your choice. Brian

I had one for a while, quite impressed with the feel of the mechanism for such a cheap pistol. My plan was to fit a rifled barrel, but my plans never account for my lack of free time to actually do the things I would like, so sold it on. One thing I did do was to drill out one of the plastic magazines, to 4.6mm IIRC, and it worked fine with pellets. Yes, I am a cheapskate...

If we are talking about a modern tactical revolver then look no further than this...... Okay it was a little more than £120 but worth every penny (competition spring set, light weight adjustable trigger, trijicon clone RDS) and I know which one I would have, in all of its shell loading goodness, lol.....

Very nice Shaun, but where are you going to fit the torch, laser, , bayonet etc?
And that shiny finish is going to give your position away...

What is really required is a full metal S&W R8, not that 'polymer' shell-loading version available in airsoft, or the clip magazine option they did in 4.5mm.
(Not going to include the six-shot TRR8 as a replica).
