I forgot I had this S&W auto replica, I bought it 25 or so years ago in Spain and it's all plastic. It's not Co2 it's more like a Gat in that to load and cock it you pull back the slide for each shot. It takes your typical plastic BBs and accuracy (I use that term very loosely) is measured in single digit feet It had some gel type bullseye target that the BBs stuck it but it was lost over the years. Just for fun I might weigh the BBs and see if I can get a power reading through my combro later on, I have a plumber coming in today and I don't think him seeing me holding a gun is going to do me any favours

I think so Andy, the yellow plastic BBs look about 6mm I remember my oldest lad shot me in the arse with it years ago from about 6 feet (little bastard), it stung slightly like a whipping from a dishtowel so there's not that much power in it but he thought it was hilarious It would be useless in a real Airsoft skirmish and you'd really be better throwing the pistol if you wanted to hit anything

I used to have a Sig P228 that was like this, you cocked the spring by manually cycling the action. It was great fun when I was a kid. Not accurate like you say, but it looked great

My first air pistol from my very distant memory was a S&W, but not sure which model! Spring slide, air soft type. I remember having difficulty cocking as a 9 yo (I was in Hong Kong back then, and the law was much more relaxed).
Also why I haven't gone back to airsoft... until I learn recently that the only legal way to have an automatic "weapon" is the AS route. And that Browning machine gun in the Umarex video. I mean, I don't need it, but I would love to have a go or ten!
