Noticed there ain't much representation for one of my favourite replicas on here up to now, so I'm posting some pics of mine! My photo's aren't good enough for the Gunography section so I'm plonking the thread here. Here are my 2x Glock 17 Gen 4 pistols - one from Umarex the other from Cybergun. Exactly the same gun, just some very minor cosmetic differences which are barely noticeable (can post here if anyone is interested). I think the Cybergun one is quite a bit cheaper if purchased from Toro so I wouldn't hesitate to go for that version if buying new. Anyway, here they are sporting red dots (because the accuracy with the fixed sights is not good) The cases are aftermarkets which can be had from Amazon or eBay, they don't come bundled with the gun like some of the other models do. Great pistol, really well made. I haven't had the pleasure of trying out the other Glock models but I believe generally the Gen 4 17 is considered the best - which is also reflected in the pricing in most cases. @glockwomble are you still a Glock owner and mega fan?

I’ve never had a Glock replica in my collection. I think deep down it’s because I enjoyed using the real deal so much and I’ve never wanted to be disappointed. Perhaps I may need to put the past into the past.

They seem to fly out of the sales section as well so you can easily move it on if not happy

Love my last Glock 17 Dual Ammo. It's the only one of all my Glocks I have kept. It feels good, shoots great and has a great recoil. I definitely want to try the dual ammo at some point, pellets always preference for the winter months indoors. Do I spy a @waltherfan insert in that case?

He kindly gifted this one to me, nice chap that he is.

I was interested in getting a G17 gen4 a while back, kept toying with the idea but other guns came along that 'needed' to be snapped up and added to my collection. One of these was an Umarex H&K USP (blowback version) which was a bit of an eye opener for me, made me realise that maybe a Glock would be a good idea as it changed my mind about 'Tactical Tupperware' guns. Well to cut a long story short, I ended up one day with a G17 gen4 in one hand and the H&K USP in the other and got to fire them both for a good few hours ! So if I stated that I've still got the USP and no longer want a G17 gen4 you might guess my view ! The USP beat the G17 in every way; looks, action, feel, accuracy, snappy blowback and weight, the USP(gbb) is a very underrated replica (imho) and anybody looking at getting a G17 should at least try the USP first. The history of the USP is legendary, being developed from the original US military trials for the SOCOM 23 and has a reputation for being an unstoppable workhorse that NEVER fails to work despite the temperature (from sub zero to extremes of heat), environmental conditions (water, mud, sand etc.) or even low quality ammunition. There's plenty of youtube videos of guys trying their best to get it to fail and the USP never does, it just keeps going ! As a M&P (Military & Police) service pistol it far exceeds any and all expectations that are placed on it, watch the video below.....
And if you needed anymore convincing then listen to the wisdom of Hickok45....
In my books it's a Glock killer, all day, everyday ! Especially as it's a .45acp handgun rather than a 9mm.

Yes the USP is also a great pistol, I would probably also include the S&W M&P40 in that category of really nice Tactical Tupperware Polymer framed pistols. All three are of solid build and feel fantastic in the hand. The only true solution is to own all three . Worthy additions to any collection

The only true solution is to own all three . You are a real "devil" James. I do need another modern blowback in my collection. The SA-10 was never enough. I thought I was done when I bought the Tanfoglio Gold Custom, but I think I need a Glock Gen 4 or an USP, or even another CZ.

The CZ is another fine gun that quite a few members have raved about, I would like to have one of them in my collection too. From all reports it's solid, snappy, powerful, well built and quite accurate which are all big plus points when you are looking for a good CO 2 replica handgun.

CZ-75 is a great pistol, but for me if you put it next to a USP or a Glock I am going to take the others. There is just something about the skinny top rail that puts me off slightly. Also the shiny trigger looks a bit cheap in my opinion. It shoots well though and it's very welcome in my collection

The CZ-75 Para is much better build quality than either the Glocks or USP in my opinion. No tupperware either, all metal.
