I recently purchased a Barra Schofield and installed the factory rifled barrel that’s now available from Barra.
The barrel is high quality and very nice looking. It’s polished, and weighs 1.5 oz. The original barrel is unpolished, rough looking and weighs 0.5 oz.
I’ve been trying out a few different pellets to see what works best in the Schofield. This is my first go round with a pellet shooting pistol.
So far I’ve tried: H&N FTT 8.64 Crosman CPD77 10.6 Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum 10.5 Daisy Precision Max 7.56
The lightweight Daisy pellets are grouping the best so far. Although POI is quite high.
The H&N pellets are hitting roughly where I aim, but I’m getting more flyers with them.
The Crosman CPD77 are a copper plated pellet. So far they are not grouping well, but they sure are a joy to load and shoot. The plating makes them very clean, and solid feeling. They effortlessly pop into the cartridges, and they really smack the cans when they hit.

I use IMGUR. It is my go to photo hosting site. You click on the photo in your IMGUR library and then copy the second link down (direct link) and post it on via the picture icon above. I did it for yours here:

Half the battle with a new inner barrel is finding the right pellets to get the best performance from it, the other half is reducing 'shooters error', lol. The most important thing that I've found out is differing head sizes with pellets (4.49mm to 4.54mm) can make such a difference to both FPS performance and actual accuracy, but once you get it sorted it's worth all the faffing about.
