I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago, and love the thing, half the weight of my 629 and 7 shots. Always preferred smaller guns and if the real stuff was available a Ruger 22 would do me just fine ( I do ofcourse have the 177 air pistol) Not without its problems tho, shoots 1" low and 1" to the right @ 6 yds, around 300 fps with Wasps. Fair grouping tho when rested. The pistol has 3 ugly, bulky allen cap screws on it and they are crying out to be changed. The Real Steel was .30 cal but the muzzle is bored out to .40 cal so the alloy is thinner than it should be at the muzzle. I read somewhere that the short rifled barrels fitted to our revolvers may be due to them being expensive Walther barrels...don't think so. Took it apart and the barrel crown couldn't be much worse, for some reason there is a tapered lead at the muzzle end that is machined terribly off centre, effectively making the crown approx 30° instead of 90° to the barrel. Anyway, it now has a full length Crosman barrel, 4.5" in 177 (very briefly thought about .30 but then thought of a 22 but as it shoots low I stuck with 177) Very pleased I did, after 21 shots, I chrono'd it on the same CO2 at the wife's room temp of 25°C and it averaged 415 fps with hobbys, around 2.7 ft lbs with a max of 447fps and min of 397 fps, resting between shots. Double checked the chrono with my Webley Nemesis (it has always been very consistent at 360 fps) and it was spot on It still shoots 1" to the right but it's spot on height wise.

Love that finish, yes, bought mine from Enfield sports too, but had to look at 3 of them, one was not indexing properly and another had been butchered near the roll pin, kind of puts me off buying on line. So how did you achieve that finish, not over impressed with the satin finish, prefer the battlefield on the Webley's

Lovely pistols, I'm fond of all the Nagants. Here's mine with a holster.

mine is a cracker ! I swapped the barrel out for a S&W 586 rifled inner, mine shoots bang on at 5-10m and is bloody loud too ! I 'weathered' mine and replaced the stupid screws, took a hammer to it at one point, just for effect.....

Very impressed with the distressed look on those two, just having the balls to start
