After purchasing the Gletcher M1891 (cut down mosin nagant) Earlier this year i found that i was so impressed by the build quality and the superb working of the bolt action that (even though it has a plastic stock) i had to get me the full size version. On taking it out of the box the first thing that struck me (which was a suprise) was the quality of that stock. There are no mould lines in the plastic and it really looks close to the original in colour, and shape, the rifle is a hefty beast which is very near in weight to the real steel version 8.2lb as opposed to 8.8lb all in all this should look awsome after a bit of ageing and a sling fitted (already on order) if you havnt picked one of these up and fealt that lovely bolt action .... give it a go .... you will be suprised

I love the bolt action on these. I just wish they had a wood stock. I would buy one then.

yeah, I agree with Andy on that. But they would look even better with a real wood stock and be fully aged, I'd be very tempted myself and I'm not even that much of a rifle person tbh....

Unfortunately even if i could get a real wood stock the front casting wouldn't fit
also this seems to be a replica of the carbine model which is shorter than the full Mosin Nagant rifle
But im sure with a bit of will power i can get it to look somewhat better
