It seems grip fever has struck the forum, I have also been enjoying sourcing and modifying 1911 grips (for KWC blowback variants) for the last few weeks. The below were from eBay and off the back of a recommendation by CaptDAR . For anyone that might be interested, this is the link - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1911-CUSTOM-MADE-WOOD-GRIPS-CYBERGUN-KWC-COLT-1911A1-C02-PARKERIZED-GREY-AIRSOFT/264890462004?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 These came in a very light red and grey hue as per the image on the eBay posting - a very nice finish but not as dark red as David's and not quite the colouring I wanted. The feel and fit of these is superb, they fit perfectly to the KWC's awkward frame with it's CO2 bulge. You can tell the quality difference between these and the ANT supplies ones immediately with the weight of the grips. All that was needed was a bit of finishing for me, so a couple of coats of rosewood stain and a single coat of CCL stock oil. They are modelled here on a 6mm CO2 variant - I'm very happy with the finish, and would buy these again if I pickup another 1911 at some point! I fancy a polished shiny shiny 1911 next

You’ve finished these off very nicely. Suits the pistol now.
