The price of replica airguns is quite frankly rediculous The price of my Lee Enfield Rifle when new was £399 .... I then modified it to make it more authentic looking which cost about £130 + loads of work so all in all the total cost ended up being £529 I have just seen a real 1917 live firing real steel rifle for sale .... FOR £550 Absolute madness when a Replica airgun costs almost as much as the real thing. pic 1 is mine....... pic 2 is the real steel for sale at £550 photohost freeimage bb

I totally agree with you buddy ! I've bought a few of mine brand new but most of mine are 2nd hand or new from Europe prior to the bloody Brexit malarky (which was a bit cheaper than UK prices). The truth is that when it comes to handguns it's a different matter though, a new Colt Python is around $1500-$2000 depending on finish and barrel length, a Dan Wesson 715 will set you back a minimum of $1200 for one gun but the set of extra barrels will push the price up to around $1800, a brand new genuine Colt SAA is well over $1800, etc. So the Classic revolvers are far cheaper to get as replicas than as real steel versions. But as always there are cheaper options, you can get a Ruger Vaquero (which is a .22 RF plinking clone of a Colt SAA) for around the $200 mark and plus there's lots of full bore copies of the SAA around that are far cheaper too.
I must admit though, I've seen quite a few cheap black powder revolvers here in the UK, some as cheap as £50 ! Obviously secondhand but that's quite a bit cheaper than our replicas especially when you consider that's for a real steel, full bore powder burner. Even brand new they are some that are around the same price as our CO2 replicas !
