I wish Umarex or some manufacturer would do us a .177 shell firing conversion of the Colt Walker.

.22 would be more acceptable 😊 It would if you want to watch the pellet fly to the target and maybe run past it on the way. Once, someone took a shot at with a .22 co2 revolver when I was on my bike. I accelerated quick enough that the pellet gave up before it reached me.

Long barrelled Crosman 600. Private sale. That don't count. I thought you meant a replica co2. Never been keen on those old fashioned Crosman 600's myself.

Always liked the Colt Walker. Back in 2001 there was a limited supply of Armi San Marco made Walkers made to use Brocock air cartridges. I had one from Sporting Supplies of Bloxwich. Unfortunately, it was poorly made and an awful performer.

Back in the days before the UK breech loading handgun ban, the first revolver many newcomers to the sport would choose was the Smith & Wesson Mod 29 thanks mainly to the Dirty Harry connection. As many of these beginners were not yet introduced to hand loading, full power, factory loads were a necessity resulting in many of these guns being quickly traded in due to the general discomfort and poor results inevitable from an inexperienced shooter. It was much same with the Colt Walker after the handgun ban with a lot of Colt Walkers being exchanged for BP revolvers that were a bit more manageable. I remembered the S&W Mod 29 story but did try shooting a Walker once which wasn’t a very pleasant experience so I settled on a Dragoon for occasional use which was still quite a handful and the usual Remington 1858 NMA and Colt 1851 Navy for regular use. Shooting these large, powerful revolvers is still something to experience, but not ideal for regular use or serious target shooting.
