Well - dare I say it…it was the plastic one that I was after….just to complete the set….but….I could take the blowback air soft…do you think that Umarex might have pulled it to replace with the all metal, blowback version….have heard that such a thing is available in Poland ….

I tried for ages to get a Umarex hi power .... I couldn't find one anywhere so decided to get a W.E metal blowback version .... It turned out to be quite a nice replica post images

Another thing about the W.E version is because the full drop out mag is green gas standard issue grips fit .... one word of caution .... make sure the gun is cocked BEFORE ever removing or replacing the mag faliure to do this can result in the valve knocker getting broken. As with most blow back pistols this locks back on empty so not normally a problem but can be when handling with no gas in it. all parts are easily available from airsoft taiwan . only gripe i have with this pistol is there is no De cock.... with gas in it will always stop with the slide cocked and with mag removed it will not fire. the only way to make the gun "safe" is to completely run it out of gas .... sounds worse than it is and i still reccomend getting one

This is my favourite pistol. Bought as part of a job lot of blanks firer's. Would love a decent airsoft one. Been looking at the WE version. Maybe next on the list. The version below is the Umarex 8mm blank version from the 80's. Very hard to find nowadays. It had a lot of dry firing and the trigger spring had snapped, tried all sorts of springs and it would'nt work properly. So, left it for a few months in bits then went back to it. Finally got it work as it should. Tricky thing to dismantle ,had to drill out 2 pins to get it apart, but it was worth it.
