Hi, Is it possible to replace tje co2 valve with one that release more co2 there by increasing power? Have not found any info on this on the inernet. Cheers!

In truth the Umarex Cowboy Rifle is quite powerful as is, I get around the 700+ FPS mark with a 7 grain lead pellet on the first couple of shots from a fresh CO2. Admittedly it does drop down from that point but ends up settling down into the low 500s, especially slow firing on warmer days. You might be able to fettle the valve to give you some extra FPS but ultimately it'll be at the cost of lowering your shot count and to be honest, the gun performs well enough to begin with for me. Using lighter pellets like the non-lead ones (a quick look in our 'Pellet Parlour' section should yield some answers) will increase the FPS performance too if you're just looking to increase the FPS but you'll still have the same-ish sort of Joule/ft-lbs energy results (as in, the pellets will be faster with a lighter pellet but still give roughly the same energy results as a heavier pellet travelling slower). Here's a quick link to our pellet parlour.... co2-handguns.freeforums.net/board/25/pellet-parlourThere's quite a bit of information about different pellets in there

I'm now thinking of a non-lead option, pellet wise, for my Winchester (Thanks Pete) Any specific ones you'd recommend? I like the OP's question and a while ago was thinking of asking a similar question but now I'm going down the alternative pellet route.

The pellet parlour has loads of pellet info Billy, there's some super lightweight Skenco Poly Rhinos that only weigh about 3½ grains (half the weight of a normal lead pellet)... co2-handguns.freeforums.net/thread/284/skenco-poly-rhinoYou can get them from Sheffield Air Rifles, just look under the pellet/.177/Skenco heading. But there's a guy on the 'Bay selling some lightweight Prometheus pellets, I got 2x boxes (of 400) from him for with £12 FREE P&P (just make him an offer) and they work quite well, reasonably accurate and reasonably fast.... co2-handguns.freeforums.net/thread/4098/prometheus-177-pellets

Well; I rang up anyone who will listen and, pretty much, no-one wanted to listen...apart from two people who would listen. Person 1. No matter what I want to talk about... he'll listen ( If 'listen' means, he'll hold the phone somewhere near his head whilst being in a drunken stupor) So, I suppose...he 'listened'. Person 2. If 'listen' means; they put their answer machine on when they knew it was me calling (AND...if your reading this I KNOW YOU KNEW IT WAS ME!!!!) then I suppose they must have listend at some point.... possibly.
Anyway; I don't care....I hit a dessert spoon with a Winchester (TP) from 38 yards away.....un-rested (not sure if I mentioned that earlier) and....free standing....(probably didn't mention that either)
To sum up....I'm going to ammend my other post if I can. I have got another person to ring up but not sure if I should yet as I heard him say something about me last April. " It'll be a cold day before I speak to Billy Gibbons again" so I better leave it 'till December or January I reckon.

That’s shit hot shooting and as there are no holes in it you can still use it.

That's some damn fine shooting there Billy, 38 yds is a good distance to hit a dessert spoon at buddy. We'll have to change your moniker to 'Dead-Shot'

"We'll have to change your moniker to 'Dead-Shot' ".......Or....we could change it to 'Billy Liar'
I was telling my mate (Percy Pedantic...his name is actually Keith but I've just re-christened him) about my shooting prowess and he informed me that the said spoon isn't in fact a dessert spoon but a serving spoon! After I finished telling him things like "Hold on....I used a C02 Winchester (TP)...it was from 38 yards away and I could bearly see the spoon let alone hit it" etc etc. he does actually have a point so I'll enclose a picture of the spoon with a 'dessert spoon' next to it.
But, when you consider I'm really not a very good shot generally, I'm still very pleased.
P.S. Thanks Pete for a superb rifle! Attachments:

Much thankings HH. The only reason I posted what I did in the first place is to sort of reply to the OP's post about increasing the power of the rifle. If I thought I was a good shot (which I'm not)..I wouldn't have mentioned the 'spoon' and if I'd only hit it once, I would have thought it was luck but twice!!! Oh yes.....I'm still buzzing. I really do need to get out more. But, I actually think it's a combination of Umarex, Pete and a bit of me. My mate who was shooting with me and had a spr**ger and a telescopic sight couldn't hit it.
I need a rub down with a damp Alsation......
