After a year with my VP9 i thought i'll make a little review of it.
So, its umarex, metal slide, plastic body, full metal mag for co2 and BB's
18 BB's, 70 shots per Co2, prefers 5.4 grains, non adjustable sights with white dots, double action only, slide lock after last shot, spring mag release with paddles in stead of button (like the original), safety on trigger, safety on the right, slide reset button, not field strippable, rail for toys.
The good things.
Feels nice in the hand, good weight with the mag inserted.
Good for practice training, reloads etc
The picatinny rail is a saver for the bad set sights that look great with the white dots,
add a laser and you have a great can killer (tested up to 15m)
Blowback is just ok
Love the spring eject of the mag, just a free drop would not be so nice.
Mag has a spring lock for loading BB's, so no broken finger nails.
After a year of use, the slide does not rattle, a minimal sound comes out when you shake the gun.
Second glock-style safety on the trigger is a good thing IMO.
Open slide cut with "H&K 9mmx9" engraved on the inner part adds to realism
No bloody white warning text anywhere
Comes in a carton box (airgun detectives send their regards, in USA they get the ugly plastic clam shell)
Bad things about it:
Ultra long trigger, aaaall the way from front to back to shoot, and all the way back to the front so it loads next BB on next shot.
Make a fuzz while pulling, second BB loads, ends up in the mechanism, gun jams
Sights not well set, the gun shoots low left, now even at 6 meters...
Some times the slide does not lock after last shot.
Paint wear off at the trigger (probably my big fingers fault)
Re-assembling the gun can be a pain if you dont know to put the hammer in right position before closing the shell. Thanks Youtube.
Non working safety of the actual gun gives away that it's a replica.
I invested on a rail-bridge to add an RDS, waiting for it.
