A while back i purchased a KWC M712 off Doyley83, i did a bit of work on it and then other things took over and i never got around to posting anything ..... This in my mind is one of those oddball guns along with the mosin nagant oberon .... this perticular one is in excellent condition (as always from James) and the only thing i could do is age it and fit the supplied wood grips (Fantastic) i took the fittings for the grips off the plastic ones and altered the wood grips to fit as they looked more authentic .... The only other thing i did was alter a couple of things on the case Gap when cover closed ... brass screws etc hole made wider to allow the wood grips to fit i also put a peice in the stocl to make the hole a bit smaller at the back, i didnt want it to look perfect but aged so made no attempt to hide this . The first 2 pics are as i got it ... rest are me being me lol

Looks well aged now, much better than a factory fresh, straight out of the box type of finish. Once those brass screws have oxidised it'll look spot on buddy, luckily it doesn't take too long for brass to tarnish though.

A bit of cold blue solution works wonders on brass.

I used a solution of vinegar and salt to age the butt plate on my Lee Enfield ....it took a bit of time but looked quite good when finished
