Finally I have my silver Schofield .22 full rifled barrel with wooden grips. My thanks to Modski66 for the fantastic barrel work and HeadHunter for the grips and reworked valve. This is just one quick picture after rebuild and test. My thanks to gunman1964 for your strip and schematics posts. I used H&N Trophy Green and RWS Hobby for the Chrono tests. Still to run accuracy. Very happy with fps and power.

VERY nice .... im not normally a fan of shiny guns but this looks fantastic ..... the mods done to this are just brilliant .... i also have some schofield grips on the way ... i will pick them up on friday ..... shaun has done a great job on them ... wooden grips make the gun look and feel so much better in my opinion. modskis barrel mod very interesting i was thinking about converting a colt saa to .22 at some point but busy with my Winchesters at the moment ... great work all ... stunning revolver

That's a good power increase from the original FPS results from the underpowered AS valve. I was a bit shocked when I took the valve apart and saw that it only had one port in the valve stem..... A trip to the workshop made it more 'manly'.... I'm glad that you're happy with the grips buddy

I used a 0.7mm drill bit held in a pin vice and then fitted to my pillar drill, once the hole is made then it's just a matter of increasing the drill bit size (0.7, 0.8, 1mm, etc.) until I could get a very small diamond encrusted borer (in my dremel) into the hole, then it's just a matter of shaping and porting it.

Very delicate work, one slip and the valve is useless, got to say, I'm very impressed
