No love for 6MM ? I find these airsoft pistols just as well manufactured and robust as their .177 counterparts. Although I prefer co2 , I find green gas far easier to fill a mag. Both co2 and gas have their plus's & minus's, IMHO of course. Love that pistol Cap.....π

Love that pistol Cap.....π As Tuco says, I've read that generally most 6mm replicas are extremely accurate in function and form and are well made (possibly better that their 4.5mm/177 counterparts)...the good ones are not cheap. Many will fire 6mm steel bb's, and having previously owned a Dan Wesson 6mm revolver (aside from the ricochet issue)..I wouldn't fancy getting hit by a 6mm steel BB) I quite fancy the Umarex T4E Walther PDP. It's the only licenced replica of the PDP and is so true to the RS version it will even take a slide mounted red dot sight. It is being bought in increasing numbers as a training aid in the US by owners of the real steel version partly due to the accuracy of it's operation but also due to the high cost of 9mm ammo. They're all still replicas after all!

I have a mixture of different airguns ... some 4.5mm some (Airsoft) 6mm and a T4E Glock All the 6mm guns i have are very well made and as said above ... sometimes superior in build quality and realism to the 4.5mm counterparts. There are good and bad quality guns in all ammunition sizes, for instance the 4.5mm Colt SAA is fantastic as is the Remington 1875 but the 4.5mm Walther PPK/S is a very bad design IMHO (i own 3 and NONE are working at the moment) The northeast STEN and G&G Kar98k 6mm are brilliant i also like the WE Browning hi power however the budget 6mm guns can be quite awful.

Let`s face it, most of us like nothing more than shooting up beer cans in the garden, so what safer way to do this than with 6mm a/s replicas. They have limited range, so back garden safe and should a stray bb exit the property boundary it is unlikely to cause any significant injury to bystanders, wheres you cannot say that for pellet firing replicas. The accuracy of 6mm guns is perfectly adequete for can bashing, and the realism of a/s replicas is excellent. What`s not to like. Pete
