I just took delivery of this very nice pistol today, and have been having lots of fun with it on my 6 meter range. The only complaint I have about it is the creaky clicky trigger. Is there a standard fix for this on this model? Tomorrow I am going to strip it down and have a look, but I thought I would ask here first.
I sanded off the bold boiler plate warnings on the right side, down to 400 grit, and found that aluma-black bluing works so well on this gun that I can't tell the difference between the original finish and the aluma-black area. Beauty!

Welcome to beretta 92fs ownership. 👍 I assume if you’re able to strip it down that it’s a bb?

Make no such assumptions; this is the .177 pellet model. Do you mean that the pellet version is not to be disassembled? Sure hope it is. Anyway, it appears what I thought was a sticky trigger action may instead be the ratcheting of the magazine, which may be resolved with a bit of judicious massaging.

I stripped the Beretta down today a few times to see why it was hard to cock the hammer single action. I made a couple of small mods to make it smoother. First I polished the trigger lever where it interacts with the pawl on the hammer, and added a small dab of moly. Then I shortened the spring on the vertical catch lever (SR217A) by two coils and stretched it to its original length again. Hammer cocks much more smoothly now. Assembly is pretty straight forward on this pistol, just take a photo or two first. I used really sticky tacky grease to hold springs in place.
Hope this helps someone.

Great post, I’d be very interested in a ‘how to’ about stripping the 92 down?? 😉
