Just stumbled across this new offering from Sig Sauer, Although I can't seem to find it on Sig's own website, there are a few videos appearing on YouTube. As we all know, we're denied full auto fun here in the U.K. but I wondered if the 3 round burst mode featured on this model might be a loophole that allows it to be released here? If so, I'd definately be in the market for this cool little gun. I particularly liked the custom mods the guy in the 2nd video had done.

I got just over the halfway point with the first video before the presenting style grated on me so much that I went onto the second video review ! The 2nd video was bloody good, he didn't pull any punches and gave (what I feel was) a 'fair & honest' review of the gun. I do quite like this gun, I do like SBRs, especially ones with a folding stock as they seem to move into the machine pistol sort of territory. I was surprised that he never fired it in the folded down configuration, I would like to have seen it put through some 3 rd bursts like that, lol. Overall, the gun looks good, has it's faults with the main one (well for me anyway) is the moulded in dust cover, I would have liked to have seen an automatic flip open version when you rack the charging handle on the Crosman DPMS but at least it's working as a true blowback operated weapon, loading the BBs into the breech and having a true single action trigger, kudos for that SIG ! A lot of the 'minor' niggles could be rectified by the end user; replacing the top rail with a full metal version (to give it a solid platform for mounting any red dot etc.) and fitting a female QD socket into the front of the frame (and possibly the rear too) could be done fairly easily by a competent person. As for struggling with the folding stock, well that looked to me like an end user issue, there's a knack to using one (my Uzi has the same 'lift & turn' system and works easily once you get used to it) and once mastered is fairly simple to do ! One of the other things that did annoy me was the mixture of M-lok (at the front end) and a Picatinny rail (on top), I much prefer the PT over using M-lok, mostly as all of my 'extra add-ons' (laser pointers, fore grips, sling attachments, etc.) are all PT fittings. Overall I like the look of the gun, as to whether they'll be a UK 4.5mm BB release with the 3 rd burst mode option ? I'm not too sure, I would like to see it but somehow feel that the UK's 'Nanny State' regulations will probably nerf the gun outside of 6mm Airsoft usage....unfortunately The only negative for me is the lack of a working dust cover and the M-lok fittings BUT if they released it here in the UK c/w the 3 rd burst fire option I'd probably overlook them and add one very quickly to the collection, lol.
