So no one round here is going to be cutting bean tins in half and experiencing nirvana any time soon then. That means IN THIS COUNTRY, and LEGALLY, if you want full-auto fun it's airsoft all the way, not those itsy bitsy steel pin-head balls!!! Yes that's right and mores the pity Mr Norton......... Nothing more to say on the matter.

I will definitely age this ... as it is full steel it should look fantastic. i am however a bit worried as there seems to be less than zero spares available .... not even replacement magazines

A batch of magazines are currently being made. If you look for Northeast on Facebook you can keep up to date with what's going on and communicate directly with the company. I got some small bits for my Uzi directly and they were quick and best of all, free. I also understand that Airsoft World (the UK importer) are able to get parts but there may be a bit of a wait.
My experience of most airsoft spares/upgrade parts is that they are available but have to be ordered from the Far East.

Thanks for the heads up .... i certainly want another mag and its good to know spares can be got hold of .... To be honest when i wanted a part for my G&G Kar98 i had no luck in the uk whatsoever... most retailers didn't even bother to reply , however when i got in touch with G&G directly they were very helpful and not only sent me the spring that i ordered but also sent me a second one for free. i sometimes think that the uk retailers just cant be bothered

You've done a grand job on that buddy, thanks mate .... its such a nice gun i didnt want to overdo things cant think of many more replicas i want now maybe a P38 a replacement Remington 1875 and a 7.5" SAA at some point later this year but thats about it im going to try and have a go at making some wood grips for the SAA, Remington 1875 and Schofield but only about 2-3 sets of each to see how it goes also in the process of maybe 3D Printing some front sights for the 3.5" shopkeeper model using the one i made as a template.

That is a perfect job Andy, just about right imho. Sometimes we get carried away with ageing/weathering and go too far. I always look up lots of photos of the real steel before starting any such task. I look on auction sites in the USA to get an idea of what the weapon looks like after 50 years or so. Pete.
