I now own a few 6mm calibre replicas including a Browning hi power , a Kar98 and a 1911 i was wondering if plastic BBs were the only medium of ammunition they can fire .... not really going to change from the recommended but just curious to know if any other material can be used I.E Steel, Aluminium , Copper

I use Umarex Aluminium 6mm .30 grms. in my revolvers and Desert Eagle. I also have 6mm steel but they are heavy and not any use beyond 5 yards.

Have you any idea if they are reliable and is there any accuracy differences ... also would they work in a mag fed weapon like a 1911 for example.

In all honesty I’ve not used them in any of my ‘low powered’ AS pistols. I’ll give them a go in a 1911 and see. The M29, Ace and DE love them and accuracy and can destruction is very good. I reuse them if shooting soft targets and they don’t have a surface flat.

gunman1964 Took out one of my KWC 1911’s and this is a quick result of 64 aluminium bbs at 5 yards. I had one jam but it was a pre used slightly damaged ball.
