Evening all,
Having just picked up a new to me airsoft KWC 1911 I am looking to obtain a new/used BB follower which after some research is KWC part P17. As per usual with KWC in the UK, there are no spares anywhere.
I have taken apart a 4.5mm magazine and follower is different, the spring on the airsoft model is ovel in shape, as is the base of the follower to fit the spring nicely. It also seems to be a touch bigger.
So, does anyone have any ideas? I reckon my best bet might be asking someone with a knackered 6mm magazine so maybe its worth trying on the airsoft forums?

I don't know what that means mate to be honest, I have been having a read up on it all tonight as it looks like a great hobby to get into. I assume different materials etc.?

I'd be happy to have a go at doing a few. I wouldn't be confident in their longevity tbh, but if it's this or nothing, it's worth a go Edit - beaten to it, twodoctors

I think the second of the two links looks the most accurate to the original part mate. I'll PM you and we can sort out payment etc.

Well, I have been one busy bunny for the last couple of months with work and I have unfortunately not had as much time as I would like for forum participation. I just wanted to follow up on this one, as the legend that is Rusty 3D printed and sent me a handful of these BB followers to try out. After a bit of fettling with an emery board (the wife is going to kill me) to smooth off some of the printed edges, I can confirm it works perfectly and I now have lock open on last shot with this awesome parkerised 1911. The only thing that is missing from the print design is something to prevent the thing from protruding from the magazine when it's fully retracted to enter the BBs. On the original, there is a pin driven through the plastic to prevent it popping out. I will see what I can do with this at some point as Russ sent me about 10 so I have loads to play around with. A massive thank you to Russ again, he is a true gent and a top member 👍🏻

I'm a bit confused ! Do you mean the drift pin for the feed lips that sits at the top of the magazine ? (position highlighted with the red arrow in the picture below) If so, then I could pop one of mine out and measure the diameter and length of the pin for you buddy, that way you could fabricate one yourself.

Hi Shaun, No sorry, it's a really small pin driven through the large part of the top of the feeder - the bit that has contact with the BB itself. This is essentially just a tiny bit smaller than the larger opening on the magazine where you can insert BBs when you pull the follower down on the spring, so the pin just stops it from popping out of the mag under spring tension. It's easy to manage and doesn't come out and spring off, it just jams up a bit. I'll take a pic later to show, but I reckon I might be able to fashion something to prevent it

Worth mentioning Doyley83 that my printer had a cooling issue when I printed yours, they may not be the best strength wise - happy to print some more if you have any issues
