Since I can't leave well enough alone, did a few mods on this 1911. I have a few others that will be left alone, to maintain their authenticity and just outright good looks. ***Swapped out grips for a black set I had laying around ***Going with SS screws may give a bit of "pop" to the grips (?) ***Since I had a spare, perhaps the extended mag would go well with black grips. Idk........ ***Got a good deal on this "close out" flash suppressor. Eh....why not ?....lol ***Now, what to do for the laser. I came across this polymer $13 set of 1911 rail adapters on Amazon. Thought sure it'd be yet another POS waste of time accessory, akin the purchase of a similar unit for my Beretta 92FS that PROMPTLY got returned. What the hell, for $13 bucks, I reluctantly took a shot. PLEASANTLY SURPRIZED !! The adapter screws on tight, and hugs the trigger guard and frame well. The seams (almost) disappear, and adding the laser further firmed things up. All in all, this add-on does as intended, and is more than adequate for an air pistol install. (Although the adapter reduces the trigger guard opening a bit, all but "gorilla trigger finger" should be ok...lol)

NO..... just No, Tuco that is sacrilege, it is a 1911 after all. Possibly the most ergonomic, user friendly, gunsmith friendly , semi auto handgun ever invented. I have shot a lot of firearms in my 73 year life thus far, and have yet to find a better handgun.
Pete.

Each to their own TT but….sorry….I’m afraid you’ve misrepresented a lovely 1911 😢

Understood. It's an "infamnia" (lol) to alter the sweet 1911 in any way, BUT, in my opening statement, I did state I have others I would NEVER mess with. ***John Wayne ***Springfield Mil Spec ***Combat Vet ***We The People ***Tangfolio Witness

Clean, neat and unadorned. Just the right way for such an iconic pistol.
