I might just get it and see if it fits. They do have a return policy. Probably lose a bit of postage but it's a big saving if it works. And here is my temporary hack for the rear sights. All very temporary while I work out how much elevation I need. Most tapes I have are not sticky enough so this is a bit of sellotape and electrical tape. When I've worked out how much rise I need, I shall hunt for a more permanent solution. Any suggestions from everyday items appreciated!

Did a bit of "research" last night, and there seemed to be 2 Gletcher version of the P08. Both blowback. The older one uses stick mag, and the newer one looks suspiciously like the KWC version, down to the grip colour. I shall take a plunge when can find a reason to pay P&P to JSR. Still have 10 tins of Velocipell and 3 tins of RWS Hobby to go (That'll be 2 weeks then!).

Also one of the blowback versions does not lock back on empty.

It looks too... "springy" like the M712. Was it a difficult strip down Shaun? I'll see what resources are available on this... but since there is nothing I want to change on it, apart from the lower shooting barrel, I don't have the urge to open it up just yet. We shall see... When I got mine it wasn't working (the CO2 wouldn't activate the blow back action) and I thought in for a penny in for a pound ! and went the whole hog and stripped it down fully. I wish I had taken pictures but this was a few years ago now and I just wanted to get it to work again. I never even looked for a strip down guide on the net as I'm not that sort of guy, lol. So I decided that I had to have a go. It can be tricky to put back together but nothing too difficult that you need to worry about. The worse part was the actual recoil valve itself which has an internally mounted return spring rather than the standard externally mounted return spring/springs (like all other autos have eg. 1911, Glocks, USP, Beretta, Taurus, etc.). Mine was missing a part so I fabricated a new piece and it works faultlessly now, that snappy toggle top blowback action is just so unique and I can totally understand why it was such a popular weapon to fire, it naturally points really well in the hand and absorbing a lot of the recoil in the toggle action must of made it quite steady for quickly repeating shots on target. Its little wonder that the Americans went so mad for it after WWII for competition shooting, infact it had it's very own shooting league for competitions and found favour with people like Bill Ruger (the founder of Ruger Guns) who even styled some of his autos on the same 'form factor' as the legendary Luger. I'm glad that I did strip mine as it was in dire need of greasing through out and the action felt so much better, the action was slick and smoother once it was greased, I can't recommend stripping and greasing enough.

There's always the risk of turning a good pistol into a bag of parts... I'll drop some grease onto bits I can get to. In other news, I took the plunge and bought the Gletcher mag. Hopefully it will fit. Also managed to snatch 100 Crosman CO2 for £25 (Clearance offer). Result!

Thanks CaptDAR for the tip. I can confirm that the Gletcher mag will fit the KWC version (probably because it's the same gun!). Note that there are 2 Gletcher version. Both are blowback, but one has a stick mag, and the newer model is essentially a KWC. Now OOS at Ramsbottom as Shaun and I bought the last 2. Thr other workaround is to load only 5 rounds each time. That way you allow the CO2 time to recover between strings.
