This rifle gave me genuine excitement like being a kid at Christmas again when I went to pick it up. It was a bittersweet day as it was the old 'yes, we've got a couple in stock' then you rock up after an hours drive to the RFD and they don't actually have any. Apart from the one on display that looks like someone's used it to hammer in nails and no discount is offered. Luckily after a quick ring around I managed to get one from another RFD which is now my go to. Warrington Guns run by a really nice bloke called Len, think he is looking to retire soon and not checked in for a while so can only assume he is still operating. Really nice bloke and the shop is a bit of an Aladdin's cave. There was always way more in the shop than on the site and fair prices. He was selling the Cowboy Rifle at £200 when all other RFDs were at about £239. Anyway, love this rifle to pieces. Yes, it gets tedious picking up the shells but I would never get rid of mine. Quite sad but sometimes I like to just cycle the shells when I can't get out for a shoot Loves pellets, accurate at not a bad range and powerful enough to keep the ducks down on the magnet targets. Has to be a must have in most replica enthusiasts collections

I'm just so tempted to get one of these, that shell loading under lever loading system is a big plus for me and you certainly got it for a bargain price too. Damn it ! My wish list just doesn't keep growing longer on an almost daily basis

A very desirable rifle. I’d love to have one and a six shooter to venture into my own wild west adventure but I don’t have the storage for more guns. I’m trying to limit my collection to one cabinet only, so my choices have become increasingly limited. Instead I can live my adventures through yours and other members photos regarding guns I don’t own myself.
I wouldn’t worry about cycling the shells indoors. I often dry fire guns at the telly - Walking Dead zombies ect with my 686. If I said that on the AGF I’d probably be quickly issued with a Walt Award!

I don't think you'd regret adding one of these to your arsenals. They seem to be popping up used in the sales sections quite regularly too. I got mine a while back but there are other finishes available now too

I do really like the Cowboy version but I dont want to continually pick up the ejected shells so I'll stick with my Walthers. Walther Winchester’s by David Reid, on Flickr The plastic butt pads let them down.

I don’t know how it started to happen, one evening I’d bought a new gun during the day and was playing with it, as you do. Well the Mrs was sat there on her laptop not paying any attention so I aimed the gun at the telly and went “KA POW!!!” - She didn’t seem to mind so I carried on. That night I killed three bad guys from Magnum Force - not David Soul because I like him - and accidentally shot Clint Eastwood! Not with real ammo just me making pretend gun noises. Since then I’ve chosen a gun to match the film, 686 for the Walking Dead/ Dirty Harry, Beretta for Lethal Weapon films - I shot Mad Max too oops! Any excuse for a gun fondle.

I'm starting to warm up to those Schofield pistols It’s in my top three. I may get one ordered from Toro soon when I get over my fear of Border Force nicking my would be new gun, and me, in that order.
