I'm sure I saw a thread once where someone had given up looking and crafted their own. I will see if I can find it (it wasn't on here IIRC)

i e-mailed umarex in germany about these ..... not a spare part to be had ..... i wanted a foresight a fanning hammer and a pair of grip panels ... as there are no plans by Umarex to make thse again im going to have a go at making my own version as soon as i can get hands on an SAA at the right price. hope you find one soon but im pretty sure you own the only ONE ever sold

It’s a wonder no one has 3D printed them.

literally ... You are the only person i know that owns one hence the reason i asked where they all went as none in shope. Umarex parts seem very unhelpful ... when i aged my G&G Kar98 i msstakingly broke the mag release spring ... i emailed several uk dealers with little of no replies so decided to e-mail G&G in taiwan ... the part arrived a few days ago .. they were very helpful

H My thanks must go to daveb2 for his extremely generous help in solving my foresight problem. He has 3D printed a set for my pistol and after a little fettling to finish it off I now have an accurate gun. As he would not accept remuneration I have made a donation to the forum.

Warm feeling inside from being able to help.
Not a perfect fit, I'm sure I could get it closer. One of the things you hear is "rapid prototyping", the fly in the ointment here being not having the same gun myself to quickly test fit the part.
If 3D printing intrigues anyone who fancies a dabble they're fascinating to watch, easy to get started and not so expensive to buy or use. Mine has paid for itself by making things like spare parts for model trains rather than buying them.
Dave

A while ago i made a steel foresight for my Umarex Shopkeeper Colt SAA ( Same as Ace) i have been asked now to make another for someone so have decided on aluminium as when i made the steel one it took absolutely ages to fine file it into fitting ... Even though im using aluminium its still a fiddley time consuming job but well worth the effort ... its still only a rough blank at the moment but looks promising.... i just cant understand why the UK versions were sold without a front sight but the US versions had 3
