Hi,
I have a Springfield Armory M1 carbine, it is great most of the time, it looks amazing and feels great with the wooden stock etc. But the is a problem, every so often it jams up with a bb mis-fed into the barrel, it jams up the "bolt" and has to be shaken out with the gun upside down. I have 2 magazines and this happens with both, even with fresh CO2, the gun is lubricated. Does anyone else have this problem, or any idea of the cause ?
Steve.

Have you tried loading less BBs into the magazine to see if that cures the problem ? As sometimes new mag springs can be quite strong and end up pushing a couple out instead of just one. I haven't got a M1, so this is just a guess from similar problems that I've had before with other guns.

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion HeadHunter. I just tried 5 mags worth of 6 bb`s each, no issues at all, do you think it might help if I left the springs compressed for a while ?
Steve.

That sounds like a good idea, just stick 15 BBs in each of the mags and let them sit. I'm firmly in the camp of only loading as many as the real steel version would hold; eg. 1911- 7, Taurus PT92- 15, SIG P365- 10, etc..

Robbo. The M1 Carbine does have some problems like you mention. My first one had to go back to the distributors because the bolt would lock back and actually jam open. I think @doyley had a similar problem. I'll see if I can find out how he fixed his.
