I managed to damage the tiny silver pin this morning, but would like some spares anyway, I hope you guys know the part I mean, Steve.

I think that robbo59 had the two slides from that sale on AGF, so it should be easy enough to get in touch with the seller again. If not, then I think that the part he's referring to is the guide pin for the blowback unit, if that's the case then you can normally get them in with a new blow back unit

The part you're referring to is called the 'rocket nozzle', I think that the only way you're going to get one of those is from a replacement blowback unit, they used to be available for about £15 from somewhere, I'll see if I can find a link to it for you. Here we go..... www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07NWTH5CF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Right, heres the next, and hopefully last part of the story, Whilst changing the slide, I obviously removed the internals, during this operation I heard something hit the ground, hmmm, Looking around, all I could find was the tiny silver pin, I thought I had damaged it, This is where it went pear shaped, I fitted the pin, tried the gun, it worked, result ! Later I realised that as it fired, gas was blowing back at me, even I know that something is wrong in there, hmmm again, After consulting a schematic, I thought the rocket nozzle was missing as I hadnt seen it, Now, this is the face palm moment, I Hadnt slid the two main parts apart, so didnt see it as I had read the schematic wrong, completely wrong, I had the pin in the centre hole and not on the end of the tiny spring, doh ! Now, about 30 minutes ago, I looked again, rebuilt it, pin in the correct place, rocket nozzle present and correct, All is good now, barn doors need not worry as my hand is in a cast, but the 1911 is good at least, I will still take the new unit which is on its way, cos its only a matter of time before I do something this stupid again ! Many thanks for the help and your patience,
Steve.

Strange things happen. I stripped two of mine to swop parts, rebuilt and now I’ve found a wayward washer.
