Hi I dont shoot my C02 pistols much as tend to use PCP rifles at the range. Couldnt make it up to range today so decided to get out my MP40 for a shoot in the garden. Last time I used it about 5 weeks ago it was fine. ( I didn't load C02 RFD did) used a bit of silicone oil on the bulbs dropped them in and tightened, waited for the his but it didnt stop so tightened a bit more still didnt stop dare not tighten any more in case something snapped.
Managed to shoot 6 or 7 shots then stopped working. Took the C02 bulbs out as empty put another 2 in and just the same.
Same thing with my PPK last time used it and waiting for RFD to get another seal.
Am I doing it wrong?

It is not unknown for some batches of co2 bulb to be completely empty of gas even though sealed. Try some one elses bulbs. Or just weigh them first.
Pete.

I have had 2 duff ( empty) umarex co2 bulbs in the last batch of 100 I bought a couple of months ago.. If you weigh them first you will know...they should weigh....well 12 grams.
Pete.

I've never had an empty CO2 throughout any of the brands I've used, but I know Pete has probably shot a hell of a lot more than me I recently tested a new gun that had a seal leak, I think you would know if the seal was gone as the capsule spit and hissed for a few minutes before emptying!

Just tried it again and the mag hisses and gets cold so assume seal gone, just seems strange how ok on the last time used it. One minute OK next minute leaking.

In the past I’ve damaged a couple of seals when putting in a capsule especially ii the seals were dry. When you tighten up the capsule it continues to rotate and with the pressure can damage tear the seal top surface. I put a little finger pressure on the cap to stop if turning while I tighten and always use a spot of pellgun oil.

The full one weighs 42 grams, the empty one 32 grams. So we are being robbed , as ony 10 grams of gas in there.!!!! I demand a refund. Pete.

Just looked on line at a parts diagram and the capsule piercer you unscrew seems to have an O ring or seal but cant find one on mine, maybe dropped out?
