I used this hack/mini fix a while back and thought it might be of interest to others that might peruse our fine forum and come across the same issue. I really REALLY love my Crosman DPMS that I bought used a while back - I mean, just look at it! but one thing that annoyed me when I first got my hands on it was that there was some very minute 'play' between the lower and upper sections. As the rifle breaks down fully as per the RS version, there was just the slightest hint of movement/wobble when shouldering the rifle with one hand on the upper and other hand on the grip. It was the only let down for me albeit small. A bit of research and it turns out this also happens sometimes with the RS version, and with the real deal you can buy a rubber component that sits inside the recess where the upper is seated before locking up with the pin. No such luck with the DPMS as this isn't the same dimensions, so I just found the thickest rubber band I could get my hands on and cut it to the desired length. Tuck it into the recess, close up the rifle and lock in with the pin. You can feel it in action as you have to put pressure on the upper to close it and lock the pin which you don't normally Hey presto, rock solid in hand without a hint of movement!

I'll check mine the next time I get it out, thanks for the tip buddy. (I'm going to move this thread to the 'Trips 'n' trix' section)

Yeah, I decided to keep it as a select resource rather than have it as a 'free for all' posting area, I don't want a diluted section with hard to find threads. I'm hoping that it'll be one of the sections that will prove invaluable to all members and very easy to find topics of interest in. I can move threads across to there (and I think that Wild Bill can do it too) that I think are suitable, it's just filtered content that's all.
