I am after some used, empty 9mm brass for a little project, I need twenty good examples with a couple spare for experimenting with. All will become clear in due course.

That's a darned sight cheaper than the £14.95 a saw for 100!
Did yours come with the fired primers still fitted?

9mm Brass

Unfortunately not. The only guns I know of firing 9mm are the modified AR15 Lever Release rifles, which were recently banned in UK.
And you'll be laughing when you see shooters crawling on all fours picking up each and every case at firing points (me included), despite them being about 10p each!
If you need 357 or 38 I can help.

I have a few you can have if they are any use. They're not exactly good condition and they are Berdan primed so difficult to get the primer out if you need to. Cheers Don

They were very cheap at the time compared to new stuff. I think they were quite old and they weren't too reliable sometimes not firing on the first hammer strike. I had one of these where I pulled the trigger - click, nothing- cocked the hammer again and click, nothing. Held the gun pointed at the target for a few seconds with nothing happening so lowered the gun ready to eject the duff round. As my left hand was about 6" away from grabbing the slide to eject the round the gun fired and scared the cr@p out of me! I was rather glad that I didn't have many more of them left to shoot. Don

As my left hand was about 6" away from grabbing the slide to eject the round the gun fired and scared the cr@p out of me! I was rather glad that I didn't have many more of them left to shoot. Don If it's the same stuff that I'm thinking of, back in the day when I was shooting full bore at the shooting club, one of the members got hold of a load of it as a group buy for the club, it was 'dirt' cheap from a local RFD. Needless to say it had continual 'hang fires' and after a couple of very scary incidents the club they decided to ban it's use on the range. Well to cut a long story short, one of the guys ended up buying them all from everyone (for even less money than they had paid), removing the bullets out of them, emptying the powder out and reloading both parts into serviceable 9mm brass. It was laborious, time consuming and upped the cost per round by having to use an extra small pistol primer and a once fired 9mm brass for every round. Good news was the fact that they fired perfectly afterwards as it was just dodgy primers, he sold them back to the guys as reloads and the range never knew anything about it. If I told you that the group buy was for over 10,000 rounds and that one guy went through just under 8,000 of them getting them to work properly then you can only imagine how much time he spent doing that on long cold wintry evenings, still I had nothing better to do back then, lol.
