I can safely say that I have never pointed or shot an AS at anyone nor do I ever intend to. On the other hand paintballing…… Just an idea, but you could have proper fast draw duels with both participants using Umarex Colts in .6mm Airsoft versions, safety glasses obviously. I would love to do that Doug. I really would.

You’d need to purchase an AS Andy I have the one Garry gave me. That's enough. It fires those 6mm plastic balls. How I wish it was a real airgun.

Please forgive my ignorance on this one as I've never owned an AS gun, but I've occasionally been tempted, as there are some really nice AS replicas out there. So I'm guessing that by being a member of the Sportsmans Association, on production of my membership number I'll be able to purchase an AS weapon from the afore mentioned list of dealers without the need for attending any skirmishes? I'm also guessing that an associate membership would be sufficient and I won't be needing the public liability insurance that full membership provides, as I don't intend to do any skirmishing? Will the associate membership still allow me to purchase the weapons though? Sorry if this info has been covered in another post, but the legality of the whole AS world is completely new to me.

I’m only an associate member of SA and have not been turned down yet but I also have SACS insurance for liability.

Yes you will be fine to go.

Just to say I purchased from defcon for the first time this week using sportsman's association without any issue. Good quick comms and efficient service.

Another one to add, Milspec will accept Sportsman’s as a defence. 👍

Hi all,
My own experience of using the Sportsman Association membership.
justairguns/justbbguns said they do not accept the membership when I enquired. I bought a two-tone from them a while back which was done very well (i.e. as minimally as possible). They are willing spend a long time chatting about stuff and letting me handle a lot of the guns. I really like them.
Socom Tactical: Are also a great guys. My local shop, always willing help. No problems using the SA membership there.
Wolf Armouries: Also highly recommended with no SA membership issues, they went to great effort to make sure I bought the right RIF.
Airsoft World: Also accepting my SA membership, just need to send the insurance cert to them too. Ordered lots of parts as well as a RIF.
